Leh and Ladakh, its raining TL's here on TBHP!
Seeing the pics, and reading the descriptions, I feel that I might be making a trip there soon, only if my college professors could understand! :(

Waiting for the start of a same movie but in different style over again... Bring em on...

Also very curious to get your account of the Tiyari section after seeing what it has got from the epics from HVK and adc. Eagerly waiting for more!
Thank you Girish. Glad to know that you have been following my thread. Cheers.

Oh boy, the Tiyari road. It just brings goosebumps, everytime I think about it. I have a good 6 minute video. Will share that, when I get to that part of the log.

Well, the idea was to create a yellow reflection when you switch on the headlights. Helpful, when there is heavy fog and mandatory in RJ/PB/DL.

Observe the registration of those cars. I'm pretty sure its PB/HR/DL/RJ.

^ I always keep yellow color insulation tape as I travel a lot to Gujarat. I keep other colored tapes as well and the yellow is only for use on headlight.

Lovely pictures

Ladakh simply ceases to amaze.

Senior, ever since you told me about this ladakh trip when we were speaking on phone 4 months back, I was waiting for this travelogue to be posted . I still remember checking the travelogues list frequently to check if you had started one.

What a superb start to the T-log, your narration is superb and the teaser pictures are exquisite, each and every one of them. Now I'm eagerly waiting to see how the rest of the travelogue unfolds. Go go go!

Default Day 2

Firstly, I apologize for not being able to write swiftly, due to work. Will surely increase the pace this weekend.

Day 2 : Aug 19th

Route : Thane - Surat - Vadodara - Ahmedabad - Udaipur - Chittorgarh

When we left B'lore, the idea was to drive through the night and continue to drive through the 2nd day, to reach Hanumangarh/Abohar. However, rain spoilt the whole plan and we lost about 5 hours.

We left around 6 and the weather was something like this..

..and it was still raining

Heights of Paradise - Leh Redefined!-img_7625.jpg

Nope, we were not going to Bharuch this time

Heights of Paradise - Leh Redefined!-img_7635.jpg

Reason? To avoid this..

These pics were taken last year. Read on the IPHE thread about the golden bridge. Checked with HVKji about the route and we entered the Ankleshwar town, which will bypass Bharuch. This saved us atleast a couple of hours.

We were back on the highway in a jiffy.

Splendid Highway!

Speed breakers!

Vadodara - Ahmedabad Expressway!

Its a bliss to drive on this stretch

They were ahead of me and had stopped to let me know, that we had take a left to enter Udaipur. I'm glad that they did as I was happily cruising and luckily saw them waiving at me.

After lunch, I wanted to refuel but got reminded that fuel was cheaper here..

We are going straight!

Around 8PM or so, we reached Chittorgarh and stopped at this dhaba for dinner.

These were the funniest.

Man, oh man, I am sure you must be a decent driver (to have undertaken this trip) but a photographer - you have one helluva skill with the lens. The way pics are shot simply makes them supercalafragilisticexpiamidocious!

How did the terrain behave with the hottie? Keen to know whether low GC played spoilsport? Feel like undertaking this trip in my CityZX next year. Would she be able to handle it?

Regards,
Anuj

Loved the route from Day 5 to Day 8.

Pathankot - Khajjiar - Sach Pass - Gulabgarh - Kishtwar - Sinthan Top is an exceptionally amazing sector.

In fact, the road is not even visible on the map, between Sach Pass and Gulabgarh. Fantastic job in selecting this route.

Cheers!

I like your narration style, crisp and clear. You are letting photos do all the talking. Also the way you introduced participants is worth mentioning. Kinda gives a flavor to the TL. Keep 'em coming

Awesome pic there for rain on the windshield -- was it on the move or while stationary?
You've to speed up during weekend Avi. The photos and description makes us want for more.

Would be helpful if you can post summary of each leg / day after the post -- something like total KMs during the day / fuel consumed / toll / road condition for the day etc. if you have collected these details. OR if you want to put it at the end?
