| BHPian | How do you look forward to a weekend? I asked this question to few of my friends. Person A: Weekend means sleeping whole day, relaxing. Why? Because you cannot do this on weekdays. Person B: Boss, weekend is for partying..(Rest you can guess what includes in partying) Person C, D, E till few more alphabets gave similar kind of answers. These might not be the only answers, since hundreds of people have different thinking. But if you ask me this question, yes I desperately wait for a weekend. Why? Because these are the only 2 days where I can spend time away from the madness and chaos of cities, away from office stress and what not. I like traveling and prefer to visit places which are less commercialized, peaceful and free from maddening crowds. This thread is a collection of pictures taken till now from my different trips. Since I am very bad at writing, I would like to keep words at minimum and visuals at maximum. ![]() Majestic, beautiful spectacular Mt. Shivling. Taken during my Gangotri-Gomukh trek. Come September, this place literally transforms itself from a barren landscape into heaven on earth. Countless number of rare species bloom over thousands of hectares of land. These include rarest of rare species of flowers. The whole area is carpeted with pink, yellow, white colors. I have been visiting this area for the past three years and every year it gives a unique life time of a experience. Cluster of tiny white flowers. ![]() I am superior. A species which I feel always co-operate with me while photographing. They see me, wait, pose till I get tired of photographing and then leave. I thought a few were 300mm shots. I had 75-300mm on my Minolta SLR. Would 75-300mm make for a better kit (or is it 70-300mm) compared to 55-250mm? | |

Those shots are shot at 250mm only without cropping. Just that I was lucky subject was closer to me .Higher end 70-300mm are better than 55-250. Only thing is, they cost a bomb. | |
