Thank you Nilanjan & ACM.
Have had a look at the offering from Decathlon. Good stuff no doubt, though expensive. However one difference between the Decathlon tables and the one we saw with bhp was that it had folding bench attached and was a real super piece and oh so convenient. The ones shown by Decathlon has no seating with it and the folding stools have to picked up separately from what one could make out from the site.

Will check with bhp - may be he got it from Decathlon !

@gd1418

I have bought the picnic table from an exhibition in mumbai. They home delivered the product within 2 days.

Cost rs 6000/-.

Here are the contact details of the seller :-
Maxworth trading co.
(home appliances marketing division)
Noor banoo mansion, 1st floor, 27/28, 4th corner of teli gali,
Dr B A road, Chinchpokli (east) Mumbai -12
tel - 09322011457/9867950656.

The sales guy mentioned that the same product is available at most Big Bazaar stores for rs 7000.

I also got a big size umbrella with the picnic table at no extra cost.

This product has 1 year guarantee.
Can seat 4 people. Max 150kg per chair.
Made of aluminium.
Made in India.
Weight around 10Kgs.

Can be used in multiple ways.
1) dining table
2) low seating indian dining table
3) table without the chairs
4) study table
5) bench

Mods :- I am in no way involved with this product commercially. Just a user of this product.

Thank you bhp ! Great piece of information for all road junkies and campers.
Even the deer would love it !
Meanwhile I had been to Decathlon at Hyper City, Thane on Wednesday. They do have folding tables but not the type as sleek as this one and a little cumbersome I felt with folding chairs to be separately picked up.

Having seen the one got by bhp and having tested it by lowering our collective bulks on it (and it withstood the weight !) - it appears rather neat.
