Thank you. Yes, thinking of taking the JPSetu, Chapra Lucknow Agra route on return.

Some more photos, at Sasaram toll, it was more than a km long truck queue. As you can see from the picture, had to drive on the wrong side to side step the line. My son also shifted the bollards for XUV to sneak through the gate. Paid 100 INR only to turn left after 100 meters to enter Sasaram-Bikramganj-Ara route.

Sasaram Bikramganj Piro Ara road is well carpeted, and traffic is less. Every 8—10 kms, there is a village but drive through is smooth.

This is the Koelwar bridge, from Ara to Patna side. Here there is also a road through koelwar village about a km ahead of the bridge that provides an alternate path right up to the mouth of the bridge. From Ara to Patna, it is literally a straight drive up to Danapur Railway station from where you can go up to Saguna Mor for the entry into mainstream Patna.

Koelwar bridge, on river Sone, while going from Ara towards Patna

Noida Sector 61 to SK Nagar Patna-total distance travelled 1093 kms in 17 hours. This was via Yamuna Expressway - Lucknow Expressway - Bilhaur-Kanpur-Allahabad Bypass - Varanasi - Sasaram - Bikramganj - Ara- Danapur- Patna.

Return journey started at 0500 hrs on Saturday, 1st July 2017 from SK Nagar Patna. Reached Noida home at 2245 hours via Danapur - Ara - Bikramganj - Sasaram - Varanasi - Allahabad Bypass - Kanpur - Etawah- Shikohabad- Firozabad- Yamuna Expressway - Noida. Total distance travelled 1061 kms, total halt time 1 hour 40 minutes.

Between Khagaul after Danapur and Koelwar bridge, tractors loaded with Sone river sand in the morning. Similarly, trucks also in large numbers, all rushing maybe to beat morning traffic restrictions in Patna.

Koelwar bridge in the morning, waited only for three minutes, then breezed through. Unlike the heavy presence of trucks in the evening while coming to Patna last Saturday, this crossing was very smooth and queue of trucks on either end was short.

Between Sasaram and Mohania, the truck pile up was unnerving. Some cars took a parallel village route but I stuck to the main highway. There was just one lane functional on either side for two kms and large trucks were moving slowly in a line at 10kmph speed. The numerous diversions also added to the pile up since the rains had filled up road cavities which local traffic was trying to avoid. This road construction may take up minimum one more year. After Mohania till 10 kms after Varanasi, numerous diversions exist.

One more picture of GT NH19. Was it GST effect?

I had posted small write ups with separate photos. A day later, they have been combined by the website which you can see above. Do not understand the reason why it was done by the website. The outcome is worse than the original. Surely, it acts like a dampener for me to post more photos and write ups. However, in larger interest of the community, I would post some more useful info on the recent to and fro trip of Noida - Patna.

Hi, don't feel disheartened by this, the reason it has been combined is due to the rules of the forum. There are ways to attach snaps in between the write up. I was also not aware but learnt it via FAQs. It's very simple. And updating the forum is good for everyone. It is always a helpful source of information.

MODS , please change the Off Topic icon. It looks way off, especially when you are writing something nice.
