Came back to the room, got ready, loaded bags in the car and went for breakfast. After breakfast vacated the room, collected the deposit and started from the MTDC resort at 9:45am.

BTW, the room was pretty average for the price we paid. Here are a couple of snaps.

The wooden roof-lining was nice though.

Today's plan: Two years back, we had taken a left from the Anandvan resort, entered the forest area, went all the way up to Ratan wadi (Amruteshwar temple) and then came back by the same route. This time, I had something different in mind. This time, I wanted to go all around the lake and wanted to do that in the reverse direction. So basically take a right from Anandvan resort (instead of left), pass the Wilson dam and then take the right-turn shown by Raj to enter the forest area from the other side, keep on driving till we reach Ratan wadi and then continue on the same road (via Panjare) till we reach Anandvan resort again. Confusing? the map below would help.

It was sunny and the day was getting hotter by the minute.
A big group of Enfield guys had stopped overnight at the Amruteshwar hotel.

As we reached the Wilson dam, I recollected that during the last trip I had wondered about taking a picture of the XUV on the ark-bridge.

Asked my wife and she happily obliged to be the photographer. Dropped her on the downward slope from where there is a brilliant vantage point and I drove with the kids further down towards the bridge.

After crossing the bridge, took a U turn and headed back to the bridge.

There is a small park like place just before the ark-bridge. During the visit 2 years back, the parking was very crowded and we skipped it. This time it was still morning and the tourist crowd had not reached Bhandardara yet. So after the photo-shoot on the ark-bridge, we got a chance to explore the park.

Great pictures of greenery, SDP. Really enjoyed each one of them. For some reason I love the 'thick tree cover' picture. Waiting for more pics.
