[quote=arun_josie;3777556]What I liked about this Drive:
  • The location and planning done by hvkumar and his team. Not an easy task when you have 65+ cars and 200 people participating in the drive. Awesome job by these folks.
  • True justification to the theme of the drive. It almost rained throughout this drive.
  • Got a chance to meet some wonderful people. Someone I should mention about is Sudhakar, he is the Founder and Director of Maruti Suraksha(Bangalore). A very down-to-earth and humble person. When Satya’s Ciaz got stuck in the slush, he was the live wire and didn’t bother to dirty himself as that complete area was full of slush. A man in his position could have easily just watched the proceedings from the sidelines.
  • A chance to meet online friends in real and make new friends with few others.
  • Spotted lot of team-bhp stickered cars, so I am sure there were many team bhpians in this meet. Didn't get much time to interact with all.
Overall it was a superb experience! Eagerly waiting for the next Monsoon drive!

Great write-up and pics arun_josie! How does one get to know when you plan such drives? Would love to join you guys on the next one

PS- Is Sudhakar on TBHP? If yes could you please PM me his handle? Thanks!

Thanks Caadmara!
This one was organized by hvkumar (https://www.facebook.com/groups/hvkumar/). You can follow him in his facebook page where he announces such drives.
Also, monitor teambhp Meet section, http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/team-bhp-meet-section/

No, Sudhakar is not in team-bhp.

Looks like you guys had a amazing trip, all the fantastic pictures tell the story!

I'd certainly like to be a part of those trips in future, how do I get informed of the same? Is there a pre-requisite for getting into this "elite" group

There is no such elite group here for drives. As mentioned in my previous update, monitor the teambhp meet section and also you can monitor hvkumar's facebook page for drive plans.

65+ plus cars, wow, that was some drive. I must say, you guys really explored Panchgani. I haven't seen so much of Panchgani in my numerous drives till date. I Guess I should venture out and explore new places around too the next time

I was in Panchgani on 1st and 2nd of August. When did you guys go? Would have been great to catch up with Bhpians from Bangalore

Our drive was during July 24th-26th. So, it's one week before your visit. And good to know that we have explored places which even a regular has not explored

This travelogue by arun_josie is truly amazing. My salute to the entire team of BHPians who made this event a success. The type of roads done by the Ciaz is unbelievable and one can only dream of doing it on a 4X4 SUV. I wish to be a part of such great trips in the coming days.

Excellent travelogue, thanks for sharing!

I had two questions:
1. How is the road condition from Bangalore to Mahabaleshwar? I assume it is good throughout?
2. This may be offtopic, but how is the road condition between Nipani to Radhanagari (i.e towards the west)?

Thanks in advance!

Arun, Awesome report. I'm feeling thrilled reading it.

Hats off to 200+ guys, 65 cars and the leaders who led the pack well.

Keep this coming.

Cheers,

Thanks PearlJam!

The road condition was good all through except for the 4L stretch in MH limits, which is not up to the mark. Especially when you compare with the KA 4L stretch.

Even the roads on the ghat section are good.

I have no idea.
