The first four pics are of NH45 (Chennai National Highway) to Trichy....The Trichy to Madurai portion of the highway is under construction and should be completed very soon....the 5th is taken in Madurai while driving to Kodai....the last pic was taken in the mountain road leading to Kodaikanal...i wish i could have taken more pics of the roads, but i had forgot to carry my battery charger with me..Well, hope you like the pics of my trip to Kodaikanal...

The 2nd pic is of the TamilNadu Tourism Corp. hotel that i stayed at...the rest of the pics are Kodai scenes, Coaker's Walk and Kodai Valley...

In this set, Coaker's Walk continued,Kodai scenes followed by Pillar Rocks area.Only thing is that the day i was there mist covered the area entirely so, i probably will never see them Pillar Rocks for a very long time!!.

Kodaikanal was incredibly misty the two days i was there and made a bad sight seeing trip, but the weather is awesome and i felt like i was in the Adirondack Mountains. In the 2nd pic, one can see a pic of 'Suicide Point' where in the old days jilted lovers and people who just wanted to kick it would jump over the cliff. Nowadays , the place is heavily barricaded and police are everywhere!.Also, few pics of Kodaikanal Lake.

Kodai scenes. Due to the heavy fog/mist when i was there all my pics have a hazy quality to them. The last set of pics are of Kodaikanal scenes. Hope you like the pics!.

Great pix ! They took me for a virtual tour of Kodai :-) We visited Kodai on early Decemeber and had a great time.

Is the Madras-Trichy road-work complete? I thought there was 4-laning work going on between Villupuram-Trichy?

From Chennai, NH45 to Trichy to Madurai and then the mountain road to Kodai. It isn't as simple as i make it out to be, but not too complicated either!. One can drive there.

The roadwork is almost complete. One side is, which made for a smooth ride, which is a huge improvement over the good old days. I'm talking of over two decades ago , which is when i last traveled down South.

Nice pics. When were you in Kodi? I was there from the 2nd to the 6th. Stayed at my friends place. Maybe you saw my Safari. It has a great big Team-Bhp sticker on it.
