All the following pics were taken while driving around the city of Chennai. While we take pics when traveling outside cities and towns , we seldom take photos while driving around where we are at. A Chennai city tour through the eyes of a driver for you.

i got a lot more pics.....it has given me a fascinating insight into the city i grew up in and returning for an extended stay after two decades.The more things change the more they stay the same. Or do they?.

Thanx. The camera is a Samsung D503. Most of the pics here are taken from inside the car, while driving!.

also you can insert attached pictures in your post and add captions or do a write up. similar to sam and samurai's travelog

Wow, nice effort. Keep clicking and updating this thread.

I used to do something like this a few years ago. On Sundays (bcos traffic is low), me and wife would just ride/drive to a part of Chennai that we have not been to and spend time knowing the area and clicking snaps. Somehow we stopped doing this. Should start again - was fun, interesting and informative.

We could even plan some of our Chennai tbhp meets like this, instead of always going to WDI.

The pictures looks really good and keep going.

The billboards in the picture would be gone by now due to the resent drive by the government. So we can compare the new face of chennai without that now :-)

A beautiful picture essay,nick. Hatsoff!

I can identify almost all the places including the junk petrol bunk that headers uses and that Maruti showroom who will still take 5 months to deliver a Swift diesel.Lol!
