Default Nagarahole : 2 day trip

Nagarahole

All snaps avaiable at :
Nagarahole
(some of them there have been uploaded here)

It had been quite a while (almost a year) since I had driven my car on a long trip. It was almost similar time frame since I had met few old friends. The peace and relaxation of a forest vacation was the best place we could think for achieving both i.e a drive and a get-together.

Cutting all the nonsense out let me give you the details of the trip:

Planning (Aim):
5 people, including the driver (i.e me)
2 days 1 Night Trip
Halt at a ‘Home-stay’
Cover as many places as we can
And take a lot of snaps

Route:
Bangalore > Mysore > Hunsur -> Nagarhole > Kutta

Some Timelines:
Day 1
0700 Bangalore [delay due to one of my cousin from Hyd reaching late]
0800 Kamat Lokaruchi [Rs 60 Buffet Breakfast, unlimited taste I should say]
1200 Nagarhole [Roamed around a bit]
1330 Kutta Home stay / Lunch
1500 Wayanad Safari
1800 Drive to a KeralaTemple though some awesome twists and turns.
2000 Back at Home Stay

Day 2
0630 Safari at Nagarahole
1000 Breakfast
1200 Irpu Falls on river Lakshmana Theertha
1530 Lunch and drive back to Bangalore via Mysore as we had some work to complete
2100 Bangalore

Total Money spent: Rs.1550 all inclusive/person
[ Fuel | Bribe | Stay | Entry fees | 2 safaris | Food ]

Wayanad Safari: 8kms from Kutta across the Kerala Karnataka border
Jeep + Entrance Fees + Guide > ~1000Rs
Time: 1.5 Hours
Could spot Bisons, Elephants, and Loads of Deer.

Nagarahole Safari: Rs95/person, Bus
Time: 1.5 Hours
Details/tickets can be obtained at the Forest office in Nagarhole main road

Irpu Falls:
Around 20kms from Kutta, Bad roads
20minutes of low-medium intensity trek
Had less water, but still looked nice

Mileage: Average 12kmpl, Accent Viva Petrol, Fully on AC except for some slow ride when inside the Nagarahole forest

Homestay:
Owner: C.G Narendra(Pattu)
Address: Vimala Estate, OppGanapathyTemple, Kembu Kolly, Kutta.O.O, Kodagu
Contact: 08274-244407 / 9945286608

Enough of details now I guess… now for some snaps

You've seen some Bisons too, lucky guy. We've seen only deers and a Elephant but that's how the jungles plays with one.
Nice pics dude. Loved that road photograph.
