This story should have ended with the jeep reaching the hospital. That way it would have been action packed till the end. But it would have left people asking for more.

Ah. That's true vikram, I could have ended the story with an action packed dramatic drive to the hospital or something.

The next day's hobble to Dom's room should have been an epilogue perhaps.

Thank you.

No I did not. But I intend to visit the Great Indian desert festival someday. With the right travel partner, the possibilities are endless.

I would like to camp in the desert again someday. I am sure Jenny would love that too.
This time I'll wear shoes and sleep with them on.

TheOne® won't allow any pretty woman to suck on my foot in any case.

Tell me biju, just out of curiosity, are you married or in a serious relationship with a woman?
Hehehe...I married happily and am still happily married. Not sure if the same thing can be said of my wife though (me running for cover now...)

I quite liked the ending. Had Dom brought a scorpion with him from the dessert, he would have unleashed one on you when you stood grinning at his door early in the morning. You would not have had such wild ideas mushrooming in your head with the scorpion venom in you - except for your singing, which I think was partly responsible for Dom being so ingenious, to somehow get you to the hospital. Imagine the whole gang stuck in the middle of nowhere and you singing away in glory through the night. (Btw, do you sing well?)

Speaking of B grade movies, another scene just popped into my mind -

Sam goes back to the same spot in the desert and hunts downs the scorpion, takes him home and makes the scorpion a pet - singing to the scorpion - "Tune mera khoon piya hai, tu bilkul mere jaisa hai"

Sam was stung by the scorpion. Wasn't it the Spanish chick who piya Sam's khoon? In that case, N_C, would the scorpion be taken home and made a pet or ... ?

Nope. That hobble and the line to end the story were great though I agree with Normally_Filmi that the 'hospital scene' could've been dramatized a bit more.

That last line left the door open to a sequel, like most block-busters. So there is a possibility of a return trip - Return of the Scorpion King (this time without you getting poisoned).

Nice writeup. I'll ask you (yet) again "WHY ARE YOU SELLING SPEAKERS?"

Sam why on earth are you selling speakers? You have the talent to be speaking on them and believe you me, people will listen.

Steer, Sumit, everyone - I promise you I'll be doing something with my writing capabilities. I promise. And it will be sooner than you think.

And who knows, someday I will write a book.

Wonderful, At Last the story is finished

The End was Ok OK. Not bad but not outstanding. But as you rightly said, that is what happened. ( Gautam, kya re baba ??? )

I think the main objective of this whole story is that it gives you a lesson of what Life has in store for you, expect the unexpected in the most unusual of places. This was very informative and God Forbid if it happens to any of us, we can always remember The day the Yeti almost died !!
