You right. I sometimes forget about this dirty minded professor saab in this forum who can never read anything as it is suppose to be read

Ah, there you go, I can see his brain doing extra work to read these and quote in his own terms.

We are officially somewhere on day 4/5, though ramky, in his excitement put up all the pics he had :-)

Ok, coming back to the GQ drive, one of the fascinating things about India is the amount of religious places -- of all faiths, we have along the highways.

It was an experience to just see how the architecture, style and design of such places change from one region to another.

Here are some of the pictures. mjothi took some pics of a very beautiful & lit up church at Allahabad. He should put them up here soon.

And yes, we did some extensive night driving.. Here are some snapshots of the night streets across India..

Wonderful travelogue. True Petrolheads, Or dieselheads in this case.

Lovely pics and I am sure a wonderful experience.

No disrespect to you SUV boys but this journey on a couple of fast sedans would have been even more exciting and quick.

I dont think it will be long before we see such a travelogue.

Do you remember how long the Chennai - Bangalore section took?

Yeah right

Chennai - Bangalore is usually a standard 5 hours for me, door (Thiruvanmiyur) to door (Hebbal). It took us 6 hours that evening for 2 reasons:
1. I slowed down after Krishnagiri
2. We spent a wonderful 30 minutes or more at Motel Rosin between Ambur & Vaniyambadi - Kumar regaled us with stories of his escapades in the North East.

This is sure too be one of your most remarkable New Year Eve Celebration.

May I know who among you the best statistician.

I think Mjyothi may not be the one for sure, as he had lot Extra Extra curricular activites like bathing twice a day and actual extra curricular activites.

+1 to that.

@IronWolf - I regularly do long distances on both and the sedan will be faster and fun "only" when the roads are there. When alternate paths have to be tread the Suvs kick the sedan's butt. In the current shape of the GQ, I will do it on my scorpio any given day. But if and when it is complete...

There are some details we can live without.

I totally agree. Any idea when this Brilliant project will be 100.00% complete? or atleast about 99.9% complete with minimal bad sections?

Any pics of those funny 'to be completed by... ' boards?
