| BHPian | Fellow Patrons, of all the wonderful places in India, I present you this time: Uttarpara, a laid back De-Industrialized Town in West Bengal. Now this place does have an Automotive Connection. Here is where the Ambys are 'hammered and wrenched' to life. ![]() I have expressed some ideas that the photos depict, its a two-in-one post.

| Senior - BHPian | Lol. Very nice narration. Felt like watching some nice advert. The testing track is brilliant. International standards for suspension systems. No wonder ambys are so comfy |

| Now that was something refreshingly different. Great work dada, maan gaye, hoping to see some equally nostalgic photos of the Amby plant, canteen, office etc as well, devoid of any modern day computers, CnCs, air conditioned offices, just plain, simple manufacturing with a touch of "red" in it. |

| Oh !!! HM !! so nice to see a travelogue on Uttarpara and pics of my beloved HM and its testing track !! I was born in HM, stayed for 19 years in HM colony and did my BE industrial training in Hindustan Motors too !!! What a sight man, watching those white ambys and trekkers run at full throttle on these tracks !! |

BTW Its been exactly a year that I took these photos. The remoteness of the topic itself made me wonder then whether anybody will see it at all? My beliefs are reaffirmed now, after reading feedbacks like these. ![]() | ||
