Redrage,
Saw your thread many days ago but opened it today.
The saturation and sharpness made me suspect it was a L series 100-400, which was later confirmed as I went ahead on your thread.
Photography Par Excellence, it is.
I want everyone to know, that it is only 40-50% (at times) when the equipment matters, It is the guy behind the camera that is 50-60% responsible for shots such as these. Ofcourse, without the reach of this lens it would not be possible too....when to shoot and when not to? that split second makes a shot a SUPERSHOT.
The well composed shots of avians are class, even an ordinary shot was turned into poetry.
Redrage, Superb timing and skill. A real treat.
All the best,
I am taking the liberty of including these two zoo shots through my IS L 100-400. Thanks.

Thumbs up fantastic.

Redrage,

Truly beautiful pics there . I also am a member at BNHS - Bombay Natural History Society and can understand the hardship you would have gone through to capture that splendid moment. Also, Bird(ing) photography needs tons of patience to get that perfect shot.

Great pics, fantastic captures truly.
