Hi Pulser, The thread is becoming interesting, but a bit slow, please post the details faster.

Generally when i go for long drives, we put the 2/3rd filled watter bottles into the freezer and let them freeze. Just before we leave for the trip, I load them into the car in a Thick bag. This way at least for for some 6-7 hours one can get cold water / drinks. BTW, This was my wife's idea

LOL Knowing pulsar56, I am surprised he is writing at all - he subscribes to the adage that a picture speaks a thousand words and just posts a lot of pics.

About the cold water bottles - use plastic bottles and fill them all the way up. Freeze them solid and bung them into an ice-box along with your cool drinks, lassi, buttermilk etc. if you do not keep the lid open too long, the things in the ice box will stay cool for 36 hours or more! Some frozen water bottles can be kept in the cabin to use the first day. There are nice wine bottle carriers available which keep the water cool for a decent length of time. Another option are the baby feeding bottle covers (insulated) - these are meant to keep the feed warm but do an excellent job of keeping contents cool too.

But there are few unannounced/unmarked speed breakers (Humps?) which we noticed thanks to the buses who were slowing down! And the most dreaded part - seeing a family of 5 on a 2 wheeler coming towards you when you are at 140+

EDIT: I am off to Yercaud today! Will post the pics once I am back!
P.S: I am voting for the first time today!
WOW enjoy your vacation. Looking to having you back with us (and the pics here). Do post your experience in the "http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifting-gears/56924-get-out-v-o-t-e-have-you-voted-2009-a.html' thread.

Nazim---it looks like you are thoroughly enjoying your trip! Have fun and post more pics.
I was curious to know if the true motivator for your journey was your desire to vote .
BTW, I envy the weather in the cool locales you are currently on---it's bloody hot here in Hyd. Only respite is get is to have a look at your ice box on the prior page and its contents.

Nothing wrong. He is getting a ear-twisting from all and sundry because he carried way too many cold drinks in that ice-box and hasn't finished it.

We wish we 'were in the same boat' ---you know what I mean-quite contrary to what the expression normally means.

Voting was not at all a priority but I still wanted to vote since during the previous election I was in Pilani!
The candidate I voted won in my constituency!

Here are few pictures of the drive in certain parts of Bangalore.

Narrow roads, Flat Humps, Curvy Humps, unmarked humps, and humps & humps everywhere!

Weird & Wacky!

Nazim, looks like you got the hang of the D60 pretty early. Looks like the trainings that you got on my D40x were of a lof of help

Great pictures and look forward to the competition wala picture wherein it can prove that a D40x is way better than a D60
