^^ Oh ok; that was my original route down, but there's no way I'm going down that route as the SW monsoon sweeps up in end-June/early July. Thanks.

yes you're right and you sure have guts to drive down alone on your Zen.

Do you have an estilo or is it the type 2 Zen.

Also are you going for pleasure or work on such a long route , i went on a pleasure trip as is very evident from the pictures so i'm assuming that you're travelling for work since you're going alone

Hi All ,

I'm so sorry that i could not keep the tempo going for this thread however here are few more pictures for my travelogue.

We started for Elephanta chaves after seeing the Old and the new Taj although this was not a part of our plan when we started for Taj.

I found the tickets to be pretty Expensive Rs 150/person maybe cos i had to pay for it however the boat ride was pretty nice as we managed to have a glimpse of lot of yatchs.

Took some time out to do some photography as the caves were pretty inviting.

There was a train service upon reaching the caves after the boat ride however the walking distance was not too long but we decided to take the train just for the kicks.

The last pic is of the Old Taj , New Taj and the gateway of india from the boat.

Your (red)T-shirt makes a very bold statement.

The spark looks good with those alloys.

Presume this will be a long thread, you still have pics from your further leg of the journey to Goa and bangalore to go?

Hi,

It was a good write up and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Could you please let me know how was the driving comfort in the Chevy Spark as I am planning to buy one in a week or so. Your inputs would be really helpful. Thanks for the lovely snaps.

Hi Harish, it's been more than 6 weeks since your last post apologising for not completing the travelogue! Please get on with it. Boss can't be giving you so much work for so long (unless he's paying you extra)!

Hmm long travelogues do cause this disorientation. I am also yet to finish off my last years south india trip log fully. Guess I will shake off the laziness and complete it this weekend.
Anyway, nice pictures and a great trip.

Sorry i'm little late in replying but the driving comfort is as good as any luxury car.

Have you bought your sparky.

@wanderernomad - I'll definately continue this thread today at a later time as my pictures are not on this computer.

Default trip

Its been long since i've touched my travelogue here.

@ SSTraveller - To be honest i have been pretty much free since last week due to which i've been literally living on TBHP and we have bumped quite often on the "official thread for guessing places".

Starting from where i left

Pic 1 - This was a luxury boat parked near the Gateway of India

Pic 2 - Old Taj , New Taj and gateway of India - All captured in One shot

Pic 3 - The ( In )Famous Leopold cafe , we wanted to visit the place however we did not find a parking space even after trying for about 30 minutes so left it for the next time.

Pic 4 & 5 - While coming back from the Gateway we went on to click the pictures of the queens necklace and the lighting of Mumbai city

Pic 6 - We started for Goa early next morning. Panaji 397 Kms , this was after we drove for about 150 kms from Mumbai ( on the wrong road which we realised after reaching Goa ), but since we were out on a driving trip so really didnot matter much.

Pic 7 & 8 - Pit stop for both the man and the machine.

Pic 9 - Very close to Goa , only 38 Kms. I was sleeping at the back seat for a while but was woken up by my brother for this picture.

Will post more pictures and write up soon

MODS - I got an error after i clicked on the submit reply butoon so i'm reposting this. Please delete one copy if this post shows up 2 times
