Stop teasing after 41 pages, will ya? Get on with the pics some of the unseen views of Ladakh on this forum - only because no one could drive his way there in April, and we hate to leave our cars behind.

Wifey left you behind???

She flew down to Leh and hired a Xylo and Innova and moved around. Ladakh was cold and most Las was with thick snow. They covered Leh , KLA and Pangong Tso.

She was contemplating a trip to Leh, ever since my trip to Leh with HVK. She and her Ladies (oops! Girls) gang took the plunge this April. Why should boys have all the fun was written large on their faces

Not often seen photos of Ladakh in winter!
Which hotel did they stay in? And tariffs?
How did they get around?
How cold was it?
And waiting for a small description of how they went about the trip.

There is a group called Women on Clouds. They have organised the trip for them. Total cost of 30K per person. They have made all arrangements for the stay, the guide, the vehicles and flight tickets from Delhi. It was Leh, KLa and Pangong Tso, and 5 relaxed days. Wifey loved it.

They stayed at Hotel Spic n Span. Staff was courteous and they arranged good hot food. Most other eateries were closed, and travellors were less.

In Ladakh, they hired a Xylo and an Innova for them.

The weather was chilling.

The day they landed in Leh it was 2 degrees and snowing. The rest of the days sun was out shining and became pleasant in the morning and chilly by night.

Looks like there are 2 very talented photographers in the same family!
Ladakh could not get starker than this - what sights of winter! Different shades of brown!!
As expected, the entire place looks totally shut down.
Any impressions of Ladakh recovery from last year's disaster?

Thumbs up Re: HumbLeh’d

All the greenery of the Leh town is missing which is perhaps the only green area in the whole of Ladakh. Awesome pics!! And Thanks for the unseen pics of the mystical mountains. The aerial view of the ladakh region is awesome. But alas! I would never see it real time.

Why would I take the aerial route when I can drive.

The entire place looks lonely and barren. No greens at all.
Regarding the disaster part, there was no signs. The place seems to have recovered.

The aerial route was prefferd by her for want of time, else she would have joined for a drive. But having done something on her own, she is now gleaming with happiness, like what we get when we do a drive.

It is all because of one man called HVK, that I travelled. That became an inspiration to my wifey.
