Hell, we didn't even stop.

Driving into Udaipur city centre, about 3 kms away we spot a stunning facade. It's called Paras Mahal.

Classy, yet traditional rajasthani. Truly a beautiful and nice hotel. Seems like NC and I are the only two desis staying here.and that's saying a lot for a hotel with 5 floors.

We will be comfy here. Looks like they have a nice restaurant and we're going there soon. No internet in the room, so sorry no photos.
Sam that's the height of coincidence. 2 years back when we were driving the JBL twins and entered Udaipur, we thought of the same thing, not to enter city but stay at some motel on GQ. None were worth while so we went into the city and decided to see some decent place close by to GQ.

We chanced upon Paras Mahal and checked in. Ordered room service and went to bed.

Exactly 2 years from then you guys too have checked into the same hotel with the JBL car.

I'm sure if you ask the hotel waiters, darwan, they will remember the 2 JBL twins as there was a huge crowd gathered there in the morning.

Farhan even made the doorman say "I am the ONE, JBL is number ONE".

Great going guys!! first thing in the morning i did today is to turn on my PC and hoped that there are no breakdown notes in the thread!!
I dont want my collegues to find out that Nano has broken down!! A lot of Indian pride associated with this one for me
Today we turn our clocks 1 hour ahead to accomodate the day light savings So the time difference between India and Australia has extended to 5 and a half hours.
I am sure you guys are up and into the Nano. Keep us updated!!

Good Morning Team-BHP!

No, we did not leave at 5.30 as planned. We just lazed around a bit instead.

Now, instead of leaving, we're waiting in the lobby for the ice we ordered and paid for last night.
For some strange reason- the hotel seems to have lost it. Lol.

Anyways, we'll wait for a few more minutes and if we don't have it, we'll hunt for it in ajmer.
These small things add great comfort on a long journey.

have heard about hotel folks losing their marbles -- this one is a first -- a very good morning Sam and N_C. All the best and let there not be any such minor or major irritants on the journey ahead.

Hello people.

We are in the middle of tje most awesome stretch of the journey.

Winding roads thru the Arravali mountains, slight mist with absolutely fresh mountain air billowing in our faces, grrenery and small ponds alongwith super views from the top.

Its bliss. We are 18 kms from Nathdwara now.

Good morning sam & NC
Great reading and a wonderful feat keep going
Cheers!!
just a small word of caution though.. the winding sweeping roads are great fun but few corners are quite sharp. I was a part of an unfortunate accident there few years back. all the best and take care!

Hello boys n girls.

We have crossed deohgarh just now. Toppedup fuel - 7.25 ltrs and we had done 166 kms - FE of 22.88 per liter

We have been driving without ac as its cloudy here and cold winds are blowing.

That means the ac effectively takes away atleast 2 kmpl from the FE.

Also had a funny incident at a gravel trap.

We're waiting to hear it! Consider us suitably teased.
