Yes, but then they will reach only next sunday. Navinji don't tempt NC to get better FE. He is now trying to make it on time.

FE mode from NC will mean that the Nano will not cross 40-50kmph.

They are averging 40kmph (80km in 2 hours). At the current rate, Sam wont hit Delhi before 8pm. Then he has to shower, change and make that meeting. Sam this better be a rather late meeting.

It will be past noon by the time they get to Ajmer. Ideally they should have been in Jaipur by 1pm to make Delhi by 7pm. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/603961-post1.html

My guess is Delhi arrival around 9-10pm.

Sam tell NC to move it.

This is the peak time for heavy traffic to enter Delhi from all borders. Truckers rest on roadside and enter Delhi at 8:30 PM.
Since it's Sunday, normal office rush will not be there but still Sam will have to face lots of trucks on his way from Jaipur to Delhi.

A trip of instincts. We knew we had to stick to nh8 all the way. Despite that, about 20 kms before Ajmer, upon spotting a sign, a small sign saying delhi and the road looked peaceful. To be honest there are too many trucks on nh8. So for reasons unknown to us,
We took the road are are on nh79. Its peaceful, smooth and good. We're 125 clicks from jaipur according to the navi. However this road is unmapped.

Jaipur to delhi shouldnt take that much as the road between is extremely good and if they do a 70km/hr avg. They should cover the 200km in 3 hrs (max 4).

Sam/ NC , All eyes are towards the photo's but guess that would come on Monday

Trouble is: Will the journey back be ridden with so many 'distractions?'
Do you see yourself complying with the magical 36 hour mark on the way back?

Jaipur- Delhi will atleast take 4.5 hrs if not more. Being the end of a long weekend, there will be lots of cabs and private cars on road getting back to Delhi plus the trucks and plus the 4 toll gate (5 for them as they will take Jaipur by pass)

Luckily the road is smooth but the 6 lanning in progress might hamper the speed in some areas.

Sam and NC are doing great so far so I am sure they will manage somehow to reach Delhi in time Fingers crossed.

Any specific reason for not taking the NH76 via Chittaur and then NH79 and rather sticking to NH8? Route via Chittaur would have saved them atleast 30mnts if not more.

Sam I am sending you an email, if you require something packed for the way, kindly lemme know, I can meet you just before the Jaipur bypass.

Regards

Edit: The mail doesnt seem to go and I keep getting a failure notice, so if you see this post in time do let me know.

I woke up early to watch Formula 1, chanced upon this thread and missed the action on the telly completely. That says it all.
