Holy Yeti and N_C

Sense this thread is gonna be a fun-filled, yet fact-filled one which should prove how capable the Nano is; a drive which a Mumbite-Yeti had to do with another aptly named TBHPian

Wishing you two a safe drive.

And waiting to see the ICE'd Nano with those twins in a ...

Edit: the engine cover can be used for road side cooking? Hot pan kindof?

Going to be a trip to be cherished in the years to come. Kinda stuff that you'll tell your grand children about "We used to have petrol powered cars in our times. I drove to Delhi in the cheapest yet most iconic Indian car in 2009! Here's the Team-BHP linky

Of course its doable! People have riden from Mumbai to Delhi on 100 cc bikes. You guys have a blast and drive real safe.

Great stuff, Sam, b b but...

Of course any Yeti Travelogue is going to be a leading light of Team-BHP. You could hold us spellbound with a story of a walk down the garden. Seriously. Yeti drives Nano from Mumbai to Delhi is going to be great but (as I was about to say)

German Woman drives Nano from Mumbai to Delhi would surely have got you in the national news?

But hey, I'm sure the corporate angles have been discussed and if she can't make it, she can't make it.

From our point of view, we will certainly miss her unique contribution and viewpoint on this Yeti adventure...

Ok Dippy, beat this.

Well, we can't see N_C because he's driving. And he's also much smaller in size than Sam.

Have a happy and safe journey guys. And shoot lot of photos.

LMAO - that's all the inspiration I need. You naughty old man.

Now - since the topic has come up of space let me review this for you.
  • I do not push my seat all the way back - roughly to about 80% of its capacity. I can therefore infer that a man of 6 feet, 5 inches can easily drive the Nano with no discomfort.
  • I will go on further to say that this car is more comfortable (space-wise) to drive, thank most other cars I have driven.
  • I had the opportunity to drive with 4 large people, all in the range of 6 feet. All were comfortable.
  • The rear seat has more space than a Skoda Octavia and more legroom than my Lancer.
The inside, ladies and gentlemen is just bloody HUGE. It is a wonderland, this car, looks as bog as a Reva on the outside, but the inside is engineered for space.

Even if I was a Sardarji, I would still have room to headbang in the Nano.

Small SD card video recorder that's waterproof and shoots underwater too. Hopefully I will not have to use that function.

1700 (+ o r-) kms in a 624 cc car. Reaching in 36 hrs seems to be very very difficult for me. Really appreciate the energy and passion you both have to attempt like this. Car has done 600 kms......... how about the run in period, where they say that car should not be constantly driven at one speed (being such a long distance drive I assume that mostly it would be in 60-80 ranges). Will running AC for such a long intervals in such a new car will have any impact on engine? Just want to check..

When is the scheduled first service? Will it come half way of your long journey..say at 1000 kms

Iam sure you guys are real experts in highway drives, but still- Take care-Drive safe

ps: Check out if carrying a fire extinguisher is necessary
