| BHPian | I had driven to Nagpur in July 2009, a 1100 km journey from Kolkata via NH6. I have always loved Nagpur. Apart form it being clean and green, there is something elite about it. Mediocrity seemed to be absent. Its either a Toyota Camry or a Two Wheeler, something like that. Nagpur is something what Hyderabad could have been like. I really wish to live in that city to feel its charm more. Every meal I have had there was a tasty one, especially the thali category. I used to frequent the city often in 2006 and all I knew then was the Pride Hotel and the Airport. One of the interesting things I noticed for sure were the sheer number of women riding scooters, face covered. |

| Would love to shift to a smaller, relatively peaceful place like this any day. Metros bug me big time. ![]() As usual, excellent photos and coverage from your side. Keep it up. |

That parking lot was used by me many times before in my earlier trips. Nobody bugs you, no tariff, and while you work on your laptop/ chat with co-passengers and eat food, the moving imagery outside the window from there breaks the monotony. The Cedia is a Torque Skate. You can drive it @ 4th Gear at 20kmph without juddetring. Watch my Reversodrift. Note: The test drive video was performed after careful planning on a open field near the showroom without any potential hazards nearby. | Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Had been to Nagpur some 4-5 years back. What I liked were the following: - Even the smallest "Gully" looked like a 4 line highway - Considerably very neat city. On top if you ever go to civil lines, its notches higher. And the best of all: - I had been to Nagpur in the summers. While going on from the railway station to our place of residence, we stopped at a signal. To my horror, I saw a cloth-wrapped hand guiding a scooter ( A La Mummy styling). On further probing I see a body fully wrapped. Only place, where there were no clothes, were the eyes, which had sun-glasses. My imagination of a modern day Mumy was complete. That day I learnt, that it is the usual practice of all the ladies there. If they don't adhere to this ritual, they end up with instant tan and can easily get sun-burns. |

The climate can become very harsh there. I had told the dealer beforehand that the vehicle needs testing for handling and maneuverability. And such a video will instill confidence among prospective buyers.

| Nagpur has changed a lot in 10 years! During my college days, it used to be a crowded city and narrow roads. Now, i am not able to identify locations from your photographs. Have you been to Ambasari lake ? |

![]() Roads are Bhagyarekha of Urban Agglomerations. ![]() I can understand. Not very long ago, there was no glamor factor attached to a non-metro. I did not visit Ambasari. I have yet to see Nagpur thoroughly. That was a too short stint. Last edited by btirthankar : 2nd February 2010 at 11:41.
