As per the recent information received, tadoba will remain closed on 27th and 28th due to census activity . Department will not allow jungle safaris on those 2 days.

@abheekg

clarification - I notice that most (if not all) wild life photographs seem to have a much warmer tone than what would be real life (you can contrast this with car/jeep/junta photos) - seems like camera white balance has been adjusted towards much warmer tones.

Is that deliberate to create more richness in color and warmness when it doesnt probably exist?

Cheers

thats correct . i tend to process my photos to be a little warm. makes it kind of more dramatic. And its not that the richness in colours dont exist in real life. You got to be out in the jungles to experience the colours and tones that shout out at you ;-)
After all all these images are supposed to send out a message - that of biodiversity conservation - a little tweaking them to bring out the details is just helping them do what they are intended for !!

cheers ! thanks for taking time out to go through my photographs.

regards,
Dr. Abheek Ghosh

Default Jhurjhura Tigress killed in Bandhavgadh National Park

Please sign this online petition to book the culprits Justice for tigress killed in Bhandavgarh and her cubs in India | Change.org

This is a national shame.

While being in Bhandavgarh two weeks ago it was very quite interesting to watch her caring for her cubs and hiding them from prying eyes of humans. Now, with her gone there is a question of survival of her litter.

This is one of the very last images of this tigress with her cubs

Default minister's son responsible for tigress death

PWD Minister of Madhya Pradesh Nagendra Singh's Son who also owns a resort in Bandhavgad is responsible for the death of the Tigress in Bandhavgarh National Park.

He is reported to have dashed against the tigress injuring her. She was later found drowned in the same pool from where she used to quench her thirst every evening - the jhurjhura lake

I request all the members to share the link to the previous post http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...ml#post1897187 (Tadoba, Pench forests, wildlife and 4 tigers!) on their facebook profiles and urge everybody to get involved.

Default Super news from Pench after the Jhurjhura debacle

There are 4 new tiger cubs in Pench that we first reported today.
Badimaa ( the female tigress from the BBC documentary - Spy in the jungle) has a new litter of 4 cubs at Chindimatta. This is her 4th litter.
Her daughter, the Baghin nala female tigress has 2 cubs already !!
Enjoyed Leopard on the way at Night (varun managed to get some hazy mobile cam shots) , jackal killing deer thrice its size ,flock of 25-30 vultures in feeding frenzy over deer carcass, exceptionally active wild dogs all over.

Check out her lactating tits in this pic by Varun.

Will post a better resolution shot soon.

Come June and its going to rain tiger cubs at Pench.

Dr. A Ghosh

A few more from the same trip. Its a red wattled lapping. Seemed to be quiet unafraid of the proximity of our Gypsy.

Extreme Torque,
Thanks for your appreciation, wish I could be there this summer too as the sighting was overflowing, due to my work commitment I was a prisoner in my own city.
Manmohan,
The Bandharvgarh tiger pics are very good, just get some saturation in them in post processing, the pp is required as due to the light conditions and other factors the camera just cannot justify and recreate the actual representation of what the human eye can see.
