Wonderfully written. Great start. I had expected something else totally but the contents were a surprise. Max is a good name for the car. It is great to know that senior members of the forum are inspiring newbies like us. I have spent quite a bit of time in and around Tumkur. Will follow you thread. Keep it up.

hmm... I actually looked through a lot of spoilers, but somehow got this one from my friend who came from bangkok. Do you know any ideas about any good spoilers, I'm in BLR.

Addy there is a twist !
He has got his home ministry to say "please go" !

Hehehe, I understand your point, and I've got "no comments"

Thank you Sir for your comments. Actually I have read all your travellogues, and I was impressed. I am never into writing, but read through some of the travellogues and really felt like writing my experiences.

Thank you!!!!!

Thank you. I agree, there are a lot of people in this community who are very knowledgeble, their experiences are immense and for sure they are inspirations for new ones.

HI Piper,
The Ghats and country side throw a different track to cars. Let us know how your Max behaved on curves and hills and how much she (or he) drank on your journey (I mean milage).

Default Continued ....

20th March 2010:

We took some snaps and headed upwards the mountain. The air was cool. It was a complete retreat. What

was strange this time was that I felt coming away from Bangalore was a great deal. Bangalore was always

the best place to be, so many people like the place, mainly because of the climate it shares when

compared to other cities, even in summers the evenings have been cool enough. But, this year, it is

horrible, the heat is almost unbearable, atleast IMHO for Bangaloreans, thanks to the global warming

Nevertheless, what ever it is, we have our love for the city, we will do what best we can to keep it

Feeling the chill breeze mixed with mild pinching sun rays, blue sky and paths of clouds on it, I really felt the meaning of the quote:-

"Come Fairies, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame"... WOW, that's one heck of a true statement!

I was consistent in randomly picking these pics:

The path:

The mountains just called me and I'was here.

More ... on the next thread!

Default More ... now!

We took some silhouettes on the way up, the atmosphere and the timing was near apt:

All I could say at this point is that,

"Great things are done when Men and Mountains meet"

Now, it was time to walk up the mountain to see the Lord:

Up, up up up up:

An overview of the temple, in front posing Sanjay:

The Lord on the highest seat, I've ever met:

Max - He showed me the way!-shrine.jpg

Gateway to the World, at this point, I really felt I was in Greece:

Max - He showed me the way!-templ3.jpg

What we went through till now was priceless. Wonderful time, had I stayed some more time, I would have forgotten the world.

It was after all about 12 hours since I started, and we were done with the destination. 'Naaah! was the feeling, and of-course "Dil Mange More"....

Where we went next was totally unexpected.... but exposed in the next thread!
