Default Taking it easy @ Coonoor

Another weekend, another get away from the city, another experience...

Scene: Bugged of work & traffic, Time to catch a break.

Plot: I & My Wife decide to take a drive.

Stay: Mahindra Home Stay in Coonoor, Bouganvilleae. 1 Km from Coonoor Bus Stand.

Cost: Rs.2000/- per night including complementary breakfast

Pros:
Clean home
Good food.
Non-veg food can be ordered from a near by hotel.
Camp fire
Good view
All facilities
Good hospitality

Cons:
Traffic noise
Loud speaker noise ( Some moron was playing some songs aloud down the hill)
Not much of privacy if there are other families in the home stay.

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

By the way did you say it's a Mahindra property? Doesn't look like one.

Not a Club Mahindra resort, but the home stay has a tie up with Mahindra Homestays. We do the booking through Mahindra Club Holidays.

It's no where close to the property Club Mahindra has.

Thanks Ranjith. I second that the without Politician poster it would look better.

Elephants were spotted near Bandipur on the way back.

The weather in Ooty was awesome. It was raining, but in Coonoor the weather was pleasant but not really chill. The temperature sure is colder than Bangalore.

This is normal as Ooty is at a higher altitude, but Ooty is too commercialized. I don't like that place anymore. So I usually find a place near coonoor.

This would be the right time as the Pre-Monsoon has officially begun.
