Nice log with nice pics. Best part is that I noticed that all people look very fresh in all photos. So this trip was planned at leisurely pace and executed the same way!
Do they allow people to go to Devil's kitchen (guna caves) now?

Guys, You had an awsome leisurely trip..Now the famous quote seems to be really true "Owners pride..neighbours envy"..Beautiful lively snaps and probably the weather just did the tricks..

@Sriraj - Not fair ..you didnt post it anywhere beforehand. I was planning to make a trip to Kodai but was just looking for some more friends...if you remember i posted it before the Nagarhole trip for a 4 days Kodai Trip Plan..Incidentally nobody was in FOR the supposedly long Kodai Trip.

Wonderful and tempting t-logue. I am sure you guys had lots of fun!

@Chikku, some of the panoramic pics that you have posted easily qualifies for Wallpapers. By the way one of you could post/PM the best [cleanest] accomodation available there? It could be for medium budget or higher ones.

Sorry DD; I had heard you were going to join gokarna boys a day early (i.e drive on Thursday night). We decided to kodai as leisure trip as no one was interested to do a leisure drive after ample requests, we left.

By the way we have planned for track meet on 11 of July wanna join . It will be super fun

P.S: Didn't want to start an another thread, it may not go well with others as they had already planned for a meet trip/drive.
Mean while : i like your avatar; when are you modding your sx4 like that!!

Accommodation for cottages

Sterling resorts 6500 +taxes
Kodai resort hotel 2500 +taxes (living room bedroom and toilet : that's where we stayed)

Hotel rooms
Villa retreat rs 1600 to 3250 + taxes
Kodai international rs2750 to 4500
Hilltop Rs2250 to Rs3150 + taxes

all of them have websites; you can find it on Google, that's what we did

No Yaar...i am more leisure kinda and not hush hush type. And I am far from night drives - Night is surely reserved for sleep. Anyways...missed another irreversible opportunity. Let me know if there is any more scenic place trip.

Rajeev pmed me on the track event, lets see how it goes.

Thanks Man. I am already thinking of disposing my MAN He is drinking just too much.

The best to my knowledge is Villa Retreat. Others are Carlton, hill country, kodai resorts, kodai international etc.

On Sunday evening after berajim lake we started to Bangalore and decided to get back via Dindigul rather than Palani. We realized that we should have used this stretch as the roads were excellent and also the less traffic.

The run back home was uneventful and peaceful. The best part of the trip was i quit smoking. I occasionally have done it only if i am feeling sleepy behind the wheel. My wife has been extremely happy ever since.

All of spend about 5650 approx including food, travel, stay, toll booth, entrance fees and any extra that we spent. in the trip for three days which i say excellent. Approx. 1850 per day per head

Absolute Do's in Kodai

1) Please visit chocolate factory shop, extremely good place for yummy chocolates.
2) P Lease visit the forest area in your car itself will save you at least 1500 Rs.
3) Make sure you carry food in your car while travel as there isn't much on the way and people need not grumble.
4) make sure your camera is fit and fine so that you don't miss any captures
5)Finally; very important; have a friend like rocky, so that he can get his truck for an awesome and enjoyable journey

Signing off with a shot of Berajim lake from viewpoint
