Jacs,

The place looks fresh. The greenery, clouds, mist and the woods attract me very much. Though i have been to kerala a few times mostly on work, its high time i visit the gods country this season.

With a heavenly place like that, you are one lucky guy.

Regards,
Krishna.

So beautiful. I have travelled the stretch from Thodupuzha to Moolamattom by bus a few times, and boy, thats one wonderful place. Even the houses by the road (particularly on the left hand side while going from Thodupuzha)are beautiful - generally painted white, classy. Your wife's house itself is a good example (though not white). And I found quite a few Audis also, apart from the mallu favourite BMWs. Altogether a classy place.

Thanks subs, still not late. With a small investment, you could own a small farm if your goal is just vacation.

Yes buddy, but the fun part is that this area has Hindu, Muslim and Christian population and within them also various cultures. And with the price of rubber soared sky, many of them are earning serious cash. I come from a town like life and was shocked to see Mercs in such remote places .

Default Flutterby

Manoj chettan opened the house for me, everything was kept clean though locked. After taking a round, inspecting the house. Manoj chettan called me for breakfast. He knows I love Kerala cusine, he arranged Kappa vekichathu (boiled tapioca) and pork curry with black coffee. Heavy breakfast huh? It was very tasty and I realized his respect to my in laws from the way he treated me amidst of his poverty. His son Achu called me to the small garden telling there’s some surprise waiting for me and here it is.
Yes, a beautiful butterfly.

Somewhere I read that these creatures were known as Flutterby and later renamed as Butterfly. It was real fun watching them, but really difficult to click since they were so fast. Not even a second in each flower.

Good shots of the butterfly. Looking at the way you changed the angle so quickly, doesn't look like you've used super zoom.

@ aargee, rainthreat & MX. Used my near 4 year old Fuji finepix 5600. These shots were taken close but still 10X zoom in macro mode. These beauties are so fast to get focused. If I had a DSLR with macro lens, it would have been more crisp .

Note : These snaps were taken by dad during the previous visit, couldn’t manage any decent snaps since it was dark in their stables.
