The last part of the TL mentions the distance we covered.Anyways, it was 8122 kms in 25 days. The car guzzled 735 litres of petrol worth 41,560.

Sakleshpur, yes but in our farm, 15km from town, only Airtel GPRS works

A naive question here, do you mean a normal car (say a hatch or entry level sedan) and not a SUV and no-offroader can't make this trip?
Most cars & most people can do this trip.Ofcourse, the conditions in Ladakh vary on an hourly basis which test a car & the driver to the fullest.

Hello Sapna and Chandan,
Excellent TL.
It took me about 6 months to convince my wife to travel to Ladakh by road but one look at the clip showing the road conditions and the second one showing the stuck verna was enough to undo all my effort.
Wish me luck so that I can convince her again or I might have to fly to Leh which , I am sure you will agree, is no fun.
Thanks again for the great TL

From the many travelogues of leh I have seen, I knew this one was different the moment I glanced through it & saw some of the pictures. ( had not read any part of it till then)
Pictures of the stuck verna, boulders across the road are not something I have seen commonly on travelogues. ( though I see them described in words )
Overall i would say one of the best Leh Travelogue i have come across.
The icing on the cake was to know that the driver was a woman -The Travelogue does not talk how much did each one drove
Your travelogue will surely be an inspiration for many women Drivers.

Could I request some more details ( if you have ) like:
1) A little more details on the Route taken ( you mentioned rajasthan )
2) Day-wise Schedule
3) I dont suppose you saved the GPS tracks ( specifically looking for hotel locations )
