2nd Day,
We were up at 7am and todays pro gramme was to see Musee du Louvre. This is a museum and I had chosen this as this was the popular one.
We were back to our tube station as we were familiar of the city now.We took the tickets at the station and after four stations we got down near to the museum which was 10 mins walk. We were enjoying every bit of this trip as we were travelling like a local people in their metros and their buses.
We were early at the museum which opens at 9am and were in the Que to purchase the tickets.
This museum is closed on Tuesdays and French holidays.

Thanks for sharing the Parisian photos. They do bring back a lot of memories for me. I was there in 2006. I visited the Louvre and the Eiffel. But guess what the 5 of us walked all the way from Louvre to Eiffel. The weather was lovely at this time of the year usually.
Awaiting more pics

This museum is quite big and there are people who spend a lot of time
going through the museum there are tours with English speaking persons too.
Posted pictures which were interesting to me.

We were quite busy in going through all the sections of the museum.
As we were supposed to catch a train to Zurich in the afternoon we thought we should finish quickly and rushed through some of the sections.
We had a brunch at a restaurant near by to the museum.
I think in Paris this is the best way eating on the roadside restaurants
than going to the bigger restaurants and paying heavy price there.
We quickly finished our brunch and we were back at our hotel.
As the check out time was 12noon we had vacated the room in the morning and the luggage was in room near the lobby.
We picked our luggage and we walked to the station which was 5mins walk from the hotel relieving the pain of carrying the luggage through the metro stations.
There is separate track for the cyclist to ride

I loved the musee du louvre. I read somewhere that the length of the wall of the museum is equal to the height of the Eiffel tower (not sure of the claims though).
My many trips to Paris hasn't yet satiated the thirst for that beautiful city.
Once my wife and I climbed from the ground level to the first level of the eiffel tower just for thrill and not wanting to stand in the serpentine queues.
Thanks for stirring up old memories. May be I should put up a photolog of my European sojourns sometime here in T-BHP.
Paris is a very easy city to navigate once a person uderstands the 4 public transport that serves the city. We used to take those weekend unlimited tickets and try out everything from the bus to the RERs.
Fond memories.

Yes MX6 Paris is beautiful city when we were in the Que at the museum I interacted with some Australians and British people all had the same impression about the city but for the language and most of the local they were reluctant to help in guiding us regarding directions.I think understanding the maps well and getting to know about the Metro trains and the buses is very valuable.
I had spent a lot of time in the net about these roads the local transportation and the information regarding sunrise and sunset before going there which made things easy.Google maps was very helpful as I had a fair idea about the location how it looks like.
