Default Trip to Paathiramanal - A Photologue

A photologue of recent trip to Paathiramanal island from Kottayam, Kerala. Started at 12:00noon and completed the trip by 8:00pm.

Wow! Dish Antenna too. May be they are experts in keeping the direction of the dish to the satellite.

@biju, simply superb. The vast backwaters are something I am longing to feel myself. waiting for more pics on this. It is really amazing to sit on the boat endlessly with feet in water.

I was looking at Google maps to figure out the location of the island. This seems to be right opposite to Kumarakom. However I have not seen public carriers on the Kumarakom side who can ferry peoples to Allepey side. (Are there any?)

My thought was, if one visits the resorts in Kumarakom (Taj/Zuri/Lake-Resort etc), wont they took people for a visit to these places?

By the way I am still for the island to surface!

This island is right opposite to Kumarakom. Takes only 15-30 mins by boat from Kumarakom. And, there is not much to see in the island . It's just a natural forest area with no human habitat at all.

There are public carries around Kumarakom to Alleppy. The photo that i posted is near Kottyam Jetty. It takes 1.5Hrs from Kottayam jetty to reach Paathiramanal island by boat.
