He there I am back.

After all the photography and some breakfast at the Kamath we returned to the room, two went back to sleep while me and Murali went out once again. Murali changed into the lungi he bought from the only cloth store we found. Here go the pictures again.

The Munde guy

Enchanted we return back to the room and manage wake up on of the two lay bones. We come out again and start shooting.

By the time we return from the room in about 10-15 minutes, it had rained and the clouds are gone. But that's OK we know it would start rebuilding again in a few minutes.

Visibility - not all that bad

Hey all, I am back. Sorry for the long break. Here I am with the next set of pics from the Aagumbe trip.

I was attracted by this flower, but then my friend said Cobras are found near this flower. It scared the hell out of me and as I always say - "I am the only eldest son in my family and can't risk my life". So ran away
Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-172.jpg <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-173.jpg <br />
Some more flowers<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-174.jpg <br />
Loved the little violet flower, they were so bright.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-175.jpg <br />
Fresh Green Ferns - loved the fresh greenery around<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-176.jpg <br />
Never mind - I got another chance to shoot the flower. Still scared though<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-179.jpg <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-180.jpg <br />
Now the part I have always been telling all this way, notice the cloud build up as we walk the next set of pics till the end of this reply are taken within a distance of 300 mts or so and within 8-10 mins.<br /> <br />
Little clouds, call it fog. Some refer it as Fog, but was cloud actually. Murali and Sharief walking.<br /> <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-181.jpg <br />
Mother Mary walking down the streets.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-183.jpg <br />
The Dialogue - How is the situation ahead? worse than what its here. visibly is totally reduced. Hold back for sometime.<br /> <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-184.jpg <br />
And clouds take over<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-185.jpg <br />
clouds getting denser as we draw closer. Same guys as in the previous pic, but the cloud has got denser as we crossed a few metres.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-186.jpg <br />
A pic taken to remind us that we were literally having -" A Walk In The Clouds"<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-187.jpg <br />
To be Continued. Coming soon. Pics from the end of the world, in this travelogue. Any guesses, which place it could be?</div> <div style=

As mallumowgli rightly said, some monsoon and rains to the parched lands, here is the next set of pics. After some more wandering in the village we had to hotel Taj for some food and then head towards Kundadri Peak. The place I referred as end of the world in a earlier post of mine.

On the way back I took two more shots of the same flower. Am sure you are already bored seeing it. I was not so bear two more shots with me. To highlight the change, I will add a note a shot from above.

Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-188.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-189.jpg <br />
And we head for Kundadri Peak<br /> <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-190.jpg <br />
crossing streams. fresh green patches and through the bushes where there was just enough way for my waggy to sneak its way. On the way uphill to our left was a huge block / mountain of granite wet with stream. Yes thats the kundadri peak. The site was just amazing. As one would expect when going around Aagumbe we encountered some heavy rain and more clouds on the mountain top. When we were heading for the peak we were absolutely clueless as to what we should expect once we reach there. We did not see any fellow travelers either, who we could ask, we were not sure where we were going to and I must admit all of us were scared too. Thankfully after reaching we found two more cars and an auto but then no humans around. It was lashing heavily so we climbed the stairs and too shelter in a semi constructed room, waiting for the rain to slow down a bit. We were singing -"Rain Rain Go Away" the famous rhyme from our nursery classes.<br /> <br />
Now you know why I refer it as "End of the World". Not even an inch visible. the valley is covered with clouds. it appears like the world ends here.<br /> <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-191.jpg <br />
There is a feet high boundary wall for the temple and you cannot see anything beyond the boundary. It was scary, but if you are careful, its a beauty. There was a small pond next to the temple on the peak as well.<br /> <br />
Can you believe its 3PM now?<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-192.jpg <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-193.jpg <br />
Waggy getting drenched. I guess its used to getting drenched for the last 3 days.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-194.jpg <br />
Sabyasachi getting down from the temple.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-196.jpg <br />
The stairs to Heaven<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-198.jpg <br />
And a tree hidden in the clouds<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-199.jpg <br />
To be continued ...</div> <div style=

While descending from Kundadri we stopped en-route to capture some pics of the surroundings and the peak we just conquered.

The Granite stone that makes the peak.

Ain't this looking like one of the posters of the springs we get to see everywhere.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-201.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-205.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-208.jpg <br />
And we take turns to pose in front of the stream.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-202.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-203.jpg <br />

After returning from kundadri peak, we return to our favorite Sunrise / Sunset viewpoint. Shortly after we reached we were covered by dense clouds. Well this was normal in Aagumbe, but these pics belong to the same place where I took photographs earlier, so it would be easier for comparision.

Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-210.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-211.jpg <br />
Recognize this tree?<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-212.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-213.jpg <br />
The stairs one has to take to reach the view point. They were not many, but still the end not visible. <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-214.jpg <br />
The Road to Udupi - Hardly visible. Look at the tree it will make a return in other photo.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-215.jpg <br />
Comeback of the slanting tree.<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-216.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-217.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-218.jpg <br />
While the other two are trying to figure out and see through the clouds, Murali is doing his favorite - doing nothing<br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-219.jpg <br />
Guys Happy not being able to see anything. <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-222.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-224.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-225.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-226.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-227.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-228.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-229.jpg <br /> <a href=Tresspassing into the capital of King Cobra-aagumbe-230.jpg <br />

Thanks Mallu Mowgli. I Guess rains and greenery make the difference. Easter ghats are beautiful as well, but then we dont have enough rains so its not green and most of the eastern ghats are not as explored as the western ones, except for a few destinations which are commercialized.

Funda, I couldn't resist my happiness in seeing the lush green. Its ticked as a must go in my wish-list.

Last weekend witnessed a quick trip to Wayanad with friends and we discussed on the next trip. I voted for Agumbe and shared this link for people to choose whether any other place or here .

BTW, few inputs of dos and donts will also help for people who lost their bachelors degree to gain the degree "Married" "dad" etc. Just kiddin but I generally do little bit of homework before any trips to make the life of my co-passengers easy.

Hi Jacs...Lets exchange notes then. i want to do a Wayanad trip and you want an Aagumbe trip. Well I found one place to stay - Malya residency right opposite to the bus stop. There are few rooms so planning in advance would help. Also if you are travelling with kids make sure you pack enough dry clothes. Clothes get wet the moment you take them out of the bag ( well almost). Power is not available for most part of the day, so be prepared for that. Other places I am aware of is the ARRC, unfortunately I dont have any info about it. You can perfectly follow our regime and do nothing but enjoy greernary, visit the kundadri peak and other places around ( you will find plenty of yellow-white tourism boards commonly found across karnataka). We did not venture into the jungle and I dont think its advisable with family and kids. Enjoy the rain with a cup of tea and or some fresh Vada is not bad for a outing - what say?
