Lovely pics!
When in 2009 did you go to Nubra. I am asking because we also saw lots of sand storms in Nubra valley around end August.

It just reminded me that I must have been riding from the opposite direction as yours during that same time in 2007. I was doing Delhi-Chandigarh-Manali-Rohtang-Baralacha-Sarchu-Tanglang-Leh-Tanglang-Manali-Dharamsala-Pathankot-Amritsar-Wagah during late june-early july 2007 as I was part of the Himalayan Odyseey 2007 group then. I am so sad that I did not stop my bullet while probably meeting you somewhere in between.
After reading this, I think I ought to plan another trip to Ladakh soon. The best place in India, without doubt!
Cheers,
Abhi
Thank you so much for your comments.

Ladakh is a Zen place. I have biker friends who have been there on 7 occassions!

Yes I do agree that you should repeat Ladakh. Ride SOLO and do the route followed by Gaurav Jani of 60 kph group.

If you can get hold of his dvd "Riding to the top of the world" you will know what real biking adventure is !!

Nandu sir, Good going.

The most mesmerising scenes in Ladakh apart from mountains are these gompas perched on small hillocks. Looking at them itslef is Zen like experience. We happened to see the least visited the world heritage site of Chamba Gompa in Basgo famous for its murals. I clicked this picture which is part of citadel in ruins.

Fauji> Thanks for posting this pic. I can see a small path leading to the Gompa. The ravaged looks here have come out very well.

I guess you have a TL of Ladakh. Will get there after I finish the Mahabharata like TL of Ladakh posted by tsk1979!

LOL cdr. You sure are funny. BTW, I have 2 Mahabharat t.logs of Ladakh. 2009 is long Mahabharat, and 2010 log is mini mahabharat. However they cover different regions.

The Nubra Mountain Dwarfs The Man

Minimalistic shot

Through The Wild Desert Mountains and Spiritual Awakening. Ladakh, 2007/09-minimum.jpg

I stand here
Humbled by your enormity
I stand here
Wondering how and why You are
I stand here to say YOU are the ONE
Yes You are why
We come here
Again and again and again.

We will all die
But YOU will be here
But yes dont forget your Mightyness
We have left our footprints here !

Note:
The sheer heights of the hard rock face dwarfs anything that stands before it.

The evening winds were very chilly, yet this man braved it all to get the shots of the rock montain face.

I will positively finish your Mahabharata TL's.

In parallel I have been studying Rudra Sen's Ladakh Photography.

Now I am seriously wondering what am I doing here showcasing my Ladakh Photography?

Rudra Sen's images are not from where he claims them to be from.
They are from HEAVEN.

Don't worry, you both are getting there and it will not be long before we see more of heaven.

THE BLUE MAGIC OF PANGONG TSO

Through The Wild Desert Mountains and Spiritual Awakening. Ladakh, 2007/09-blue.jpg

The clouds shifted over the lake. The result was that the color of water looked near identical to the color of the sky.

The pics are simply brilliant. You people (Rudra Sir, You, Amit, Tanveer and Harsh) have sure put the Leh Laddakh bug in my mind and I am dying to go there soon.

Swananda> I have a thought in my mind for the mods of Team Bhp. We should have a inter city photo exihibition titled "The Best of Ladakh". The photo skills of our memebrs are Nat Geo material.

Amit and me are nowhere for photography as compared to the vetrans but yes we have a chance!

It will be a winner.

What say folks?
