For your requirement, Continental's also are the right choice. Just one month back i got all 4 for my Dzire in 185/70 R14 size. They are very silent, grip is good and price is also very decent, less than Michelin and Yoko. You can have a look at it once. They come with 5 years warranty as well. Keep us posted once you do the upgrade.

Shall keep the CC5 in the list and see how they are. Shall read reviews online and then decide.

I am looking at prices for both the CC5 and XM2. Any website to compare prices and reviews?

Unfortunately there is no good website where we will get all tyre reviews and prices for India. On T-BHP onlly i got few better reviews. In general people have given good feedback about Conti CC5 tyres here. Referring that mainly and listening to my inner voice after seeing the tyres in person, I went for them. Getting good experience. I have done hardly 700-800 Kms after purchase in last month. So its very less time to say but feeling good about it. They are very silent and grip is also good, in both dry and wet conditions.

Better you go to 2-3 shops and see all in person. You will get good idea about it. Recently i went to MRF shop and checked MRF ZLO. I found it very good as well at very good rate. He quoted me only 3580 per tyre (all inclusive with bill and alignment balancing fress if buy set of 4) for 185/70 R14 size. That's a very good rate for this size. Rubber felt adequately soft. Compared to all others, its a very good rate in my opinion.

I have heard good things about the ZLO but only here on Team-bhp. I was going to ask why the XM2's weren't as cheap but then I remembered that your car is the Z-trim so you have 15" wheels. It seems with every inch increase in wheel size the price jump is significant. Hope the ZLO's serve you well.

Thank you. There is almost a increase of 900 bucks per tyre when there is a change of 14" to 15"

And almost 1500 from 15" to 16". Almost. I think.

Since I had purchased a set of five 185/70R14 XM2's after the first 27 kilometers, I can either buy 15" alloy rims after two or three years when these tyres wear out or 14" rims much sooner. I wanted 15" rims initially but my budget was miscalculated so couldn't. Now considering that I tend to not slow down over most road irregularities (so higher profile is better) and the price difference of as much as 1500 per unit between 14" and 15" rims, I am tempted to buy a set of 14 inchers... Let's see. Have you ever felt that your 15" wheels give you better handling and inferior shock absorption as compared to 14"?

Ritz - 165/80 R14
Swift - 185/65 R15
Swift (Now) - 195/60 R15

I find the ride best in the Swift as compared to the Ritz. It was a upgrade to bigger rims and wider rubber so that itself in it was a positive in terms of handling.

The 195/60's seem to be smoother than the 185/65's though.

I drove my car only 7 km on the stock tyres so I don't have much to go on but I can say that the car became much more stable after the section width upgrade. Sidewall flex seems slightly greater but maybe it's psychological. Maybe it isn't since the XM2 is comfort oriented. Wise tyres themselves impart better driving characteristics to a vehicle. What I am concerned about is the effect on handling of half inch difference in sidewall height. One more factor here is the rim width. Too narrow and sidewall flex increases to the point of uncertain handling. Too wide and the flex reduces to the point of being uncomfortable.

I just got a set of four alloy wheels installed on my car for 14700 INR including buyback of four stock steel rims. Some company called G.Max which I haven't heard of before. The shop was Derick Impex near (or in) Kirtinagar, Delhi. 14x6J are the dimensions.

Now here is the problem. The offset of the wheels is +28. Lowest offset of alloy wheels I have seen in the MGA store is 38. Has anyone had any experience with alloy rims of this offset? I made the mistake of not checking the offset when buying these. Am I going to ruin the wheel bearings and suspension very soon?

The attachments show how far they extend outwards. The steering wheel is turned very slightly to the left so that's what you see in one of the pictures.

My friend has a Swift Zdi. While the tires have done 30K only, its time to change, thanks to tire damage because of roads.
He wishes to go for Bridgestone. B290 or Turanza? Or Continentals? [wild-card]

Not sure about Conti's but the feedback here on T-BHP is very good for it. Your friend can try it.

Do look at MRF Z.L.O's if he is ready to upsize to 195/60 R15 from the stock 185/65 R15 just like what I have done.

Changed all 4 tyres of my Swift VDI to Michelin XM2 185/70/R14. Bought the tyres from Snapdeal and fitted the same in snapdeal recommended tyre dealers. Cost all inclusive Rs. 19000 (including Balancing and alignment). Very sweet deal I presume.

Hello friends, I have a small query - I own a Swift VDI (2011) currently using Yoko A-drive : 185/70 - R14. I would have to change the tyres soon, I was looking for A-drives only but it seems to have discontinued. I did not get good reviews about Earth - 1. I am thinking of going for Falken Sincera, can you help me to know how good are the tires?
