which alloys and tyres for corolla - Team-BHP

i've been running my corolla on stock mags and tyres for a year now.i want to change them and i'm a bit confused weather to go in for 16" or 17". and what tyre size.205,215,225 and which make, etc, and what should b the appro cost?

Hey diven,I think YOU should go for 225/50R16s for your rolla,YOu could go for michelin pilot sport,eagle f1 or pirelli P6000 or if YOU wanna save some cash yokohama is the best ,since you have a black rolla- i suggest you go for black wheels with chrome outer ring,will look really good!!Happy motoring.

those rims are sizzling but i think they are 18",......it will kill my back and my suspension...i'll stick to 17" max....cardomin.com really has some kool pics.

Have seen a Corolla with 17" rims and 45 profile Goodyear eagles, the car looked really nice but those tyres suck. Get tyres from Dunlop, Yokohama, Falken or Bridgestone.

This morning I see the new Toyota Camry all black with I guess 18"ers in chrome and black finish and that car looked outa this world!

hey low_bass_makker, i've just bought a swift vxi (silky silver) like yours. I am considering using 205/45 R 17. Are your AWESOME wheels of the same spec??

Can you give me some more details about them as it will help me in my purchase..
How is the ride quality compared to the stock tires?
How much did they cost?
Did you excange the old tires? If so for how much??
If you were to go back, would you reconsider putting 15 or 16 inch alloys instead of these? If not ,why??

Mine are 215/40ZR17 . The ride is good but as i said ealier watchout for the potholes. The complete set of 5 set me back 50k. So I assume 5k for each tyre and 5k for each rim. Also I Have the stock alloy with me so I dont know how much it will fetch. If i consider which I will not I will go for a 16 inchs which I had in my earlier car......(size is 205/45R16)
