YIL brochures are made for worldwide consumption. They are of the (misinformed) opinion that India is not ready for these tyres. And yes, I am aware of the offer and was intimated of this nearly 3 weeks ago, but I am choosing to stay away from it.

And no, I do NOT work for Yokohama.

I think in India Neova's will be available from 17" only..

But, a very well informed source says otherwise . Don't know whom to believe these days .

Kp, Neova's aren't available in any size last I checked with 3 dealers from different parts of the country.

The official line of Yoko India is that they are still considering the launch of the Neova's in India and are a little apprehensive due to the soft compund of the tyre & the resulting warranty claims in our conditions.

However, they are willing to reconsider if enough existing users of the tyres send them emails reagrding their good performance & trouble free life in our tough conditions. So if you guys are interested in sending them some positive feedback about the tyres so they might be officially introduced here, please get in touch with me over PM.

Just for information YIL is aware of our little forum & I can assure you some senior staffers keep a regular watch here & atleast one is a member who posts regularly.

The tire dealer is here. Ishaan, you know how many of us are interested. And look around the forum and you will find atleast 10-15 more. Do something. And we will all be thankful to you if we could get this through the proper channel.

If the Neovas work out at a reasonable price I would not mind a set of 195/55 R15s.

mcl - how is the wear and tear? would it last about 40k km (or more?)?

Daniel, I doubt if they would last for about 40k. Maybe 25 to 30k tops. But they grip they provide is to die for. You won't think twice before you would want to go for them again.

Rahul - Get everyone to write a nice email to YIL telling them how they've been satisfied with the Neova's and how they would like to buy another set, provided they are available in India.

All emails can be forwarded to me at my mail address : ishan@team-bhp.com from where I'll forward them to the relevant people.

If there is a decent number of people responding, I'm sure we can have an arrangement going.

Well I for one am absolutely neutral between these two brands & only recommend products based on how good they are! How's this picture for some proof!
