Default Mag wheels for Petra High cost??

Hi, I have some problem of noise with my 8 month old Petra (clocked 9000Kms). I was told today that the mag wheels on both the front tryes are damaged (leading to the soft chugging noise that had developed after I hit some pot holes. They are quoting a price of Rs.10,000, and say that it is not covered under warranty. Can any fiat owners tell me if this is a right price and why such an expensive item is not covered under warranty. Is there anyone at Fiat that I can talk to regarding this??

Hi Shbhrao,
Are they quoting 10000 for 2 wheels ?
for 2 wheels that is an awful lot of money when you get 14" alloys at approx 15K for a set of 5. I'm not sure about the warranty part though.

A guy named Shobith Bhatnagar who is also a member of the Palio Users group on Yahoo had a cracked alloy wheel and it was replaced under warranty after a lot of fights and a number of email exchanges. Prove your point and they will replace it. If you hit some pot holes then I doubt the wheels will be covered under warranty since this is termed as misuse.

The alloy wheel cost is roughly around 4.5k per wheel for the GTX wheels. Each bolt on the wheel is for Rs. 120/-. The PCD in most of Fiat range of cars is 98mm whereas the standard available PCD on the local alloy wheels is 100mm.
