When I checked in Millivision, bangalore he said rs 6500/- each for G3 potenza and MXV8 225/60 R15 tyres.

MXV8 205/65 R15 would cost 5,500/- and XM energy same 205 profile cost 5000/-.

Then about Bridgestone normal 205 tyre which comes on stock Innova costs 5000/- or slightly less than that as per my knoweldge.

Ravi.

Grip wise GIIIs would be the best of lot..Mind u it doesn't mean that Michelins are pathetic either..
IMO MXV8 would be the best option considering all parameters. If u are getting GIIIs, do check the mfg month, year ..

I have found Civic alloys for sale in TBHP and member is at 20 minute walking distance from my house

I am soon planning to check the alloys to see if I like them for my Innova?

It appears technically Innova and civic stock alloys have same width (6 inch) and similar PCD (aprox. 120 pcd) etc.. values.

Tyre i am going to fit is MXV8 225/60 R15 and already seen many people fitting same tyre on Innova's stock alloy.

So shall I go head with Civic alloys for my Innova ? Your suggestion greately appreciated.

Regards,

Ravi.

PS This flashed my mind when I was looking for alloy for my Innova.

There won't be any issues in fitting Civic alloys in an Innova but putting 225 tyres on those 6j rims are not advisable.

Ok, I visited and saw Civic alloys and met BHPian as well. Alloys are good like brand new and similar to Innova's stock Alloys. I have seen people putting 225 tyres on Innova stock alloys. so in same way I am thinking If I can put 225 tyres on Civic alloys ?

"kpzen" do you mean 6.5 rim width is ideal for 225 tyre or civic alloys not suitable for 225 tyres since civic come with 195 tyre where as innova stock tyre come with 205 tyre ? Please do let me know.

Regards,

Ravi.

Yup you need 6.5J rims for 225. The Stock Innova wheels are 6.5J

6.5j or 7j alloys would be the best option with 225 tyres.
I won't recommend to have 6j alloys with 225s.

Default Alloys for Innova

Hi,
I have Innova 2.5V and I am planning to upgrade the stock alloys. Currently it has 205/65/15 and i want to upgrade it to either 225/50/17 or 235/45/17 or 255/40/17.

As per dealer its not a good option to increase the radius of Alloys from 15 to 17 since it will impact the suspension of the car. Is this true?

Need advice whether i should go in for 17 inch alloys and any recommeneded tyres size as well, since its going to impact mileage.

17" is a NO NO for Innova......Stick with your stock alloys and upgrade the tyres.

the max you can get is 225/45 r17. these will worsen the ride quality and might lead to your suspension packing up earlier than normal.
