If you really want to upsize then go for 225/55/16, i had seen a Innova with the same spec and looked very very good.

@ Akshay - Perfect upsize in 17 inchers would be 225/50/17 or 235/45/17

but in 225/45 there are many more options than in 225/50. and a 2kmph speedo error really dosent matter.

17" inchers on Bangalore roads would be troublesome. Best option is to upgrade to 16" at the most.

I have finally decided to go in for Michelin MXV8, after using the Energy XM1s i am convinced that the extra premium is worth it.

For Innova best ideal upgrade is 225/60 R15 but If you want to have bigger tyre then 16 inch is max, if you drive your car only in good roads always you can even try 17inch but in Bangalore you will have lot of problems with 17inch.

Regards,

Ravi.

MXV8 is good choice for Innova the reason is Innova is for comfort/practicality so MXV8 225 is right choice.

When I upgrade my tyre I would do the same.

Regards,

Ravi.

My Innova is with Goodyear GT3 as stock tyre. Last year one tyre is bulged which is nothing both external damage so kept that as stepney and another has uneven surface because of bad roads I travelled in september. So I badly need to repalce tyres.

I am planning to keep 1 of these OE 205 section tyres as stepney and buy 4 new tyres with 225 profile.

Regards,

Ravi.
