have you switched from tubed tyres to tubeless? Generally the tubeless are more noisy that the tubed one(thats what I experienced when i switched to tubeless tyres) . But if its some king of squeeeking sound then it might be something else

If it's a constant tap-tap sound that you get, it could be a small pebble lodged in any tyre. This is normally the most common sound people hear, and it used to drive me nuts.

When you say intermittent, do you mean its there sometimes and sometimes its not...?

Or do you mean it is "constantly intermittent"

Does the frequency increase with the speed of the vehicle?

Are all four of your directional (Directional Tyres / Asymmetrical Tyres ?) ES100s mounted correctly?

How many kms have your tyres run?

Well if it's not a pebble or a nail in the tyres then the logical explanation is to check your Wheel bearings, since I don't think the tyres can make such a noise. Can you describe what kind of a noise this is & when does it occur mostly?

Also have you checked to see that none of the tyres is rubbing with your wheels arches/mud flaps?

Guys by noisy I meant that traction sound that the tyres produce with the tarmac.

hi differential, if everything else is correct including no nails & pebbles.

As you mentioned it increases with speed, you are having a shimmy tyre.

Iragahva is correct check your wheel bearings(a cause for shimmy wheel), second reason is you have a bent wheel.

get your steel wheels checked for shimmyness & circularity.then check wheel bearing.

tyres: 205/55 R15 Yokohama ES 100

Hi Differential,

Firstly, i am concerned about the above specifications mentioned. Correct me if im wrong here, but i believe the Swift comes with stock rims having offset 42. I myself have upgraded my rims to OZ Racing 6.5 X 15", PCD 100 & Offset 43 and 195/60/R15 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. These specifications were given by the OZ Racing experts in Italy. I knew the PCD but never knew the Offset. They specifically mentioned that the Offset for the Swift should preferably be greater than 42.

Now your specification says 38 offset. Could this be the problem after all???

Epic
Offset cant cause tyre noise unless the tyres are scraping against the wheel wells

I think the mud flaps are flapping against the tires.
