Default 225/45-17 on Lancer

Guys,
Bit of an urgent reply required pleeeeeaaaasssseee......!!!!!

Have any of you mounted 225/45-17's on a Lancer?
If so, where do they rub (if at all) and what offset on the rims..

Guys.........urgent..........Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeease!!

i've heard of lancers with 225/45-17,and i dont think they rub...but its way too broad for the lancer....205 or 215 are fine

I was on 205's for a long time and I have just got a set of 225's without trying them on...I will prolly roll the fenders..

In all probability, 225/45/17s the outer edge of the tire would scrape the rear wall on full turning. Did you check that?

Otherwise 215/40 or at the max 215/45 is more then enough.

I just made an even bigger goof..they are 235/40-17's...!!!....
I'm quite determined though...let's see what happens

Lots of good luck to you, 235/40/17 is what i had on my octavia and they were oversize for that car! I can't imagine how you will possibly fit them into a lancer without major modifications.

ya, Front fender does not pose a problem but rear one could. Just in case you can just hammer the inside of rear fender strip, so that it does not cut tyre's.
Many of my friends have done this.

are you also changing your alloys to a different set that which protrudes outside ??

No the alloys will be the same as in the pics i have posted here of my Lancer..pre paint. They have no "lip"..thay look exactly like a DTM alloy

ap10046, So, did you manage to fit those lumpy tyres on your lancer. we are waiting for your result with pics.
