Bump

Has anyone tried the Michelin accessory? I am hunting for a reliable gauge. I got the tyres inflated at 32 front and felt bumpy just drove 2 kms to the next pump and that showed the pressure was 40psi. I am looking for something easy to use and most importantly accurate.

Find Your Merchandizing Items / Michelin Boutique / About Michelin / Home - www.michelin.in

Kindly suggest.

one can get a reasonably decent tyre pressure gauge at Reliance Autozone
also at SPAR in Bangalore

they are pretty effective in monitoring the air pressure

typically what I do is always check and fill air whenever Im filling fuel - normally once in 10 days or so. I maintain 32 psi all round as per the manufacturer's recommendation.

Fill normal air and check after the same duration. I feel the results will be the same, more or less.

Normally I do get the tyres checked for air pressure once a week, usually Monday evening when returning back from work.

The drop in the front and rear tyres in my Fiesta is usually 1-2 psi. Front - 32, rear-30 psi.

I generally have the tyre pressure checked every 15-20 days.

I don't how true this is but I remember someone telling me when I was young - fill air when the tyres haven't run much (i.e. not hot) and when there is not much load in the car.

So, often I have not filled air just because I had run the car for long.

How true is that? Is it necessary to fill air only when the tyres are cold? Then, how do you maintain pressure say when on the highway? Also, how many more psi than the prescribed is allowed when on a long drive?
