My Corsa swing is running on stock 175/70 R13 tyres on steel rims.

I am planning to switch to tubeless with Aura alloys. With the ever increasing dimensions of humps in Bangalore, I am finding ground (hump) clearance to be bit of a problem now a days and I intent to go for 14 inch tyres.

It would be great if someone could suggest if 175/70 R14 or 175/75 R14 would be a better option. I am leaning towards 175/75 R14 since the factory fitted alloy variants of Corsa came with that specification and it may not need any suspension adjustment and it gives a better ground clearance.

185/60-14 would be the best bet. if you are looking for comfort go for the turanza ER60 else the potenza G-III.

Also while buying the tyres make sure you get the 4yr warranty for th tyres.
Buy them from bridgestone performance shops. i found they give the best rates as well as warranty.

Thanks, guys.

I just checked up the Bridgestone site. How about Potenza G-III 195/60-14 since the primary reason I am going for the upsize is to increase the hump clearance. Any cons?

The Swing has a peculiar rear wheel arch that some part of the stock tyre itself goes inside when with half load....

So 195/60-14 is a taller than 185/60 n it can make the wheel foul with the wheel wells...Ya sure the 195/60 will increase the hieght....

Hi,

I recently changed to Michelin 185/70 R13 with Aura alloys..
Ground clearance has increased and the ride is smooth over rough surfaces.

Wind: Corsa's factory fitted alloys are 175/65R14, not 75 (for all variants of the Corsa, including the Swing, Sail or Sedan)

from what you have said, your wheel circumference is going to increase by almost 8% & that is huge & will naturally have an impact on the speedo & odo readings. go through this to find out how

Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible

hope that helps. )
