Default Alloy's for ALTO LXi

I have booked an ALTO and I want to put alloy wheels for it. Please suggest me good alloy brand and the size.

12" or 13" alloy?
Brand?
Cost?

Im planning to have tubeless 155/ R70 tyre.

Do let me know your valuable suggestion....

12" is the safe size for Alto.

I've got my car shodded with 13" HR alloy wheels. But it can sometimes (when loaded with heavy people) touch the wheel wells and it can seriously damage the tyres. So I had to bend some of the metal and now it's fine. So unless you have somebody who can do some modification to the wheel wells, it's safe to stick with 12 inchers. But the 13" can really improve the looks of your car for sure.

I've got Michelin Certis 155/70 R13 tyres. And those tyres are doing a great job. They look good and perform well too. Only thing is that the tyres are not uni-directional. What brands are you looking for?

I would suggest u to stick to stock setting n get 12" alloys....MRF ZVTS tyres are really good tyres.....exceptional grip(for that size), longgg life but noisy

If u are a highway cruiser n want some grip n handling at the cost of ride quality then u should go for 165/60-13 rubber with 5J alloys....

Good suggestion speedzak...!!
Its a rarity to see people advise against upsizing their tyres....

Tyres are touching bcos u have 5.5J alloys n not 5J alloys

Aura - 13.5 K Hyper silver finish one..... I put it from the dealer itself. I got the tyres exchanged to tubeless during purchase. Iam currently on 155 / 70 R12 Goodyear GPS 2 tubeless tyres.

E21240 Model of Aura - 8 Spoke one...

I did check with lot of dealers. None have 12". All have 13" and they themselves are telling, we dont recommend 13" for Alto. If you want we can fix it up. But you need to be careful @ humps, potholes and bad roads of it not damaging the tyres...

155/70 R12 is OK, but the ideal upsizes for Alto (with stock 145/80 R12 tyres) might have been either 155/75 R12 or 165/70 R12 -- these sizes give minimum difference in rolling radius. See under "A tyre size calculator" in the following website:

Default Upgrade for Stock Alto Lx

Hey Guys,

Please suggest a good upgrade fro Stock Alto LX tyres.I do not want a bumpy ride. The ride should be smooth and fine. Also,i am planning to change the stock rims to 13" alloys(Aura/Neo) with the new tyres. Please suggest a good combination.

Hi,

This has been discussed a lot of times before. What i have seen is on 13 inches 165/60 R13 is what teambhpians suggest and go for.

Tyres Michelin Certis, Falken ZE326, Bridgestone S322, Bridgestone donuts + You cannot forget GIII Potenza

if you are changing to alloys, consider changing your tyres to Michelin XM1. They are super quiet & grippy. Do not get low profile tyres as they are bound to cause a lot of inconvenience in an ALto.
cheers
