I would highly recommend checking out the Michelin All-Terrains (A/T range). Have been using them on my Jeep since 2 years and the performance is fabulous.

Michelins command a price premium, but they additional $$$ is well worth it.

Tool go for either Michelin's or Yokohama's, both are very good tyres. Cost wise last I checked the tyres would cost about 7k apiece give or take 500 rupees. Regarding dealers in Delhi, there are a lot of them and JB should be able to sort you out. However, if you still need help give me a call/PM once you're down here & we'll have you sorted out!

And tyre size should be 265/70 R16.

I too am looking for tyres, for my Landcruiser. Size is 275/70 R 16.

Tool,
If going for Bridgestones, look at "Dueller A/T Revo", not "Dueller A/T". Yokohama Geolander A/T II+ is also good but since you already have it on your Pajero, could you give a quick review? DRIVEN has a good deal on them. I haven't seen too many Michelin's on SUV's in India.

Gears,
Red-One.

Can't recommend any SUV tyres to you as I don't really know much about the various models available.

However, do you want to go for more highway oriented tyres or some offroad oriented ones ?

As for a tyre shop in Delhi , I can recommend BK Tyres in Lajpat Nagar - in the car market near the flyover Tel is : 29812020.
(A-108, Lajpat Nagar 1).

cheers

Default SUV Radial Tyres

Hi Guys,
We have members with Various Radial Tyres on Their JEEPs.

I'll rank them on popularity (no. of people using a model/pattern)
Effectiveness of Mud/ Rock/ Sand/ Dirt/JungleTrack

Tyre Mud Rock Sand Track
1) Bridgestone Dueler H/T 30% 40% 50% 50%
2) Pirelli Scorpion A/T 60% 60% 80% 70%
3) Goodyear Wrangler A/T 50% 50% 80% 70%
4) Yokohama Geolander AT+2 70% 60% 70% 70%

The criteria were.
1) Mud - Self Cleaning Ability/ Bite/ Floatation
2) Rock - Side Wall Strength/Flex/ Bite
3) Sand - Floatation/ Acceleration/ Bite
4) Track - Acceleration/Braking/Bite

Floatation - Ideal Floatation for a SWB JEEP (CJ3B) - Tyres Width 235mm-255mm
- Ideal Floatation for a MWB JEEP(MM540) - Tyre Width 255-290mm (Thats too much but we have MM540s with those sizes ;-0

Regards,

Arka
