I'm sorry but there is now way that Lenso is in the price bracket or quality bracket of brands like Enkei.

They are quivalent to brands like HR/Prestige etc. but certianly not in Enkei's league. IMHO you've been over-quoted for them by the dealer.

HR and League make some of the best built Rims among the stuff readily available in India. Lenso and League are very good too, some models by Lenso are not that strong and tend to get bends easily on rough driving.
Lenso Rims look really neat tho if you like the Lipped rim designs.
I myself have Plati rims on the car and they have worked out pretty good too considering my Low profile tyres and at times unorthodox driving.
Plati is League's cheaper priced brand. Even DSC rims are decent.
SM is not all that great but some designs are really good looking.

I don't have experience but here are some problems I can envision given my experience with trying to claim warranty with tyres:

1. Cracked/Bent Rim - Almost certainly no warranty as this will be shown to be a problem due to user negligence. They will argue that you broke it when you went into a pothole/hit a stone at high-speed & their warranty does not cover this.

2. Finish issues - If the alloys are under warranty these will be honoured but don't know whether they'll refurbish them for you or replace them.

Default Lenso is good

Hmm...good point...but why exactly do u think Lenso is not in the same bracket? Standard lensos start from 15 inchers n up...for that size it would be 30-35,000 or more..depending on the design)...now when i talked of Lenso.. i was talking of Black powder coated 15 inchers..Go to any major alloy website and u would find Lensos(UK,US anywhere else)....i may have been mistaken but i did my research though...however i d double check..

2. Neo,HR(same price range as above)
3. for higher price brackets: Enkei,Lenso(35,000/- for 15 inchers and above)
4. OZ (cant say the exact price but for brand value OZ is unbeatable.)
5. Taiwanese, Thai Wheels(good looking but buy at your own risk)
6. Chinese Wheels(again...flashy and good looking but god save you)

Hope this helps.
Thanks
Ansh
I got prestige chrome alloys from Ashoka Wheels, he charged me 14K for 4 Wheels, still to get the 5th wheel due to budget contraints

And, is prestige not a taiwanese or thai brand? you listed it separately?

Yup ! Prestige is a Taiwanese Brand..however when i mentioned Taiwanese and Thai brands i was rather talking of OTHER taiwanese Brands like SM..I guess i should have mentioned it...My apologies...Just to clarify... Plati,Prestige, HR(not too sure) are Taiwanese and Lenso is Thai...

Yes I had bought these for my Opel Astra in Jan 2000, they were called TRAXX, they were OE for the Opel as well.........

Default Cost of Plati alloys?

Please let me know the cost of Plati alloys. I am very much impressed with its look. Also let me know is it available in chennai ?

Hope the new Palio comes with good looking alloys. I would like to buy from TATA-FIAT itself. Would it cost more than market price ?
