Any idea about the prices? Yokos are not available here in Calcutta. Will have to get those from Delhi. The question is, how do I ship four tires?

Of course the Neovas but they wont last much so its better to avoid them.
i would say both AVS dB and dB ES501 are rated almost equally...AVS dB just has a slight edge over dB ES501 in terms of performance .

Hi,

For Octavia 16" with 205/55R 16 or 17 with 225/45R 17 will be perfect.

Regards,
PJ

NONE of these treads are available in the size you want.

Only PP2 & Yoko 501 are available in that size officially. Would recommend PP2 out of these two.

@ Iraghava - What about 215/50R16s or 215/55R16? Are they the right upsize considering the stock, 195/65/R15s? Are Yokohama Advan Neova/Sport and Michelin Pilot Sport available in these sizes? Do I have any other options in 16" ers? Have heard soo much about Yokohamas, wanted to try them.

@ PJSPEED - 17" are not suitable for Calcutta roads.

As you are upgrading your vehicle, you need performance tyres.

Got to know from sources:
YOKO ES501 comfort oriented
MICH PP2 Sports oriented.
S.drives Sports

205/55 R16 S.drive or 225/50 R16 PP2 should be best deals for you.

With car mods, 17" should be able to handle the beast the best.

Both the upsizes u have mentioned will work without any issues.
Yokohama dB ES501 is available in 215/55-16 and 225/50-16

Shuv - 215/50 is just out of tolerance, ideal upsizes are:

205/55-16
215/55-16
225/50-16

Options in 215/55 are again:
Yokohama ES501
Michelin Energy MXV8

Some more options would be available in the grey market, do you want me to find out more about them?

Please! As I said, I can't put 17"ers. Need the most performance oriented tires in 16" size. Though I'm currently running 225s, don't mind going down to 215s if better tires are available in that size.

Are Yokohama ES501 and Michelin Energy MXV8 meant for high speeds?
