Default Help:Tyre and Rim upgrade for OHC 1.5

Hi guys...
i own an 2002 OHC 1.5exi which has done around 45k kms...Its now running on stock rims and tires...Am plannin to upgrade to bigger wheels...So guys would want to know which size would be the best..
15",16" or 17"
and also the best profile that i can go for..
I usually travel with 5 people in the car..So i dont want the wheels scrappin the inner walls with the upsized tyres....Addin a spacer to increase the height is out of the question....So guys keep your suggestion comin!!...thanks in advance..
rgrds,
adnan

Firstly, WHY do you want to upsize?

Since you usually drive with 5 people in the car, it seems highly unlikely that performance is a requirement. In that case - it's better to stick to the OE size i.e. 13"er's or max a 14"er pair.

Regards,
Manveet

p.s.
AFAIK a spacer has nothing to do with the height of the car.

yes man, you shud stick to the 14" with a bit lower profile tyres , so that as you said it wont scrap the inner walls.
by the way manveet how much did u pay for those prestige alloys? they look awesome on ur ride.

arrrree yaar i have used spacers in my car to increase the height , it prevent the wheels from scraping the arches.

@adnan - go for 14` alloys ,best option for you as you mostly drive with 5 people in the car.

Adnan - Best upgrade is 195/60 R14 tyres of 14"x6J alloys. 15" or above is not ideal if you have 5 people in the car regularly.

See if you can get hold of 14: Vtec rims. Perfect fit. They look beautiful too. And they're Enkeis.

Try the 2nd hand market. But I am not sure you will find any.

14" rims 6J is perfect but make sure you get a good set of tyres, dont even think of goodyear. pirellis and dunlops are the way to go..

I think U are talking about the other spacer used to make the tyres protrude outside the wheel well
