Yeah that he will because of the margin that the guy (Universal Tyres) earns on them. They are basically a Chinese/Taiwanese brand and imported & distributed by the same guy who imports Prestige wheels.

I have had them fitted on two friends cars & wasn't impressed much. Check with Fuelled though he just replaced a set of Silverstone's with Michelin's on his Santro.

P.S. Did he also tell you that they are sister company of Bridgestone?

No, but that's a common sales ploy.

What is the margin like, do you have any factual info? Is it much more than earned over other less common brands (like Yokohama) or are you just guessing?

Not bad at all - you're atleast in the correct continent. .
They are Malaysian.

My Opinion as I have also changed from Silverstone's to Yoko's:
They are not as a lot of people would want you to believe.

I quote from the website ..
"Since its inception in 1988. Silverstone had pursued its quest to produce quality tyres of the highest export standards. Employing state-of-the-art technology and quality control systems comparable to the best in the world. Silverstone has earned itself awards from international governing authorities such as UK's E11, USA's DOT Marking of Quality, the ISO 9002 BVQI Certification of Quality Management and Malaysia's SIRIM."

Here is the company homepage link: Default Web Page

And here is the link to their Tire catalogue: Tyre Catalog - Passenger Car Tyres

FYI .. I was running Kruizer 1 NS500 which is mentioned on the page. However there is no mention of your particular tire, maybe the page has not been updated.

Dude atleast get the name of your Tire right.

I just saw your Tire photo - you are running the Kruizer 1 NS500 which is the same Tire that I had on my OHC (195/50/R15). They are now serving on my Mom's pink Getz.

Here is the link for Review Comments on the Tire - like I said, its not a bad Tire.

Silverstone Kruizer 1

And here is what the Silverstone website says:

Tyre - KRUIZER 1 NS500

Hope the above helped.

Drive Safe.
