Default Alloy wheels for Fiat Palio Stile

Hi,

I have booked Fiat Palio Stile (1.1 SLX) last week. Expecting the delivery in few days time. Can anyone tell me, which alloys I can go for ?
1. Alloy wheels Brand
2. Size (13" or 14")

If I go for 14", doesn't it make any problems with the vehicle ?

Whats the PCD of the stile. Is it 98PCD as the old ones? Go for 14" alloys . My 1.2 has 185/65 R-14 rubber. There are a lot of brands available with varied designs .But, make sure you get 98PCD even if you have to wait for sometime . I guess yours will be the first stile on the forum. Congrats.

It is 98 PCD and orginal Fiat alloys are the only ones that I know of available in 98 PCD. OZ's should be available in 98 PCD but will cost you a bomb, a nuclear bomb!

Keep the PCD in mind and go for 14" rims with 175/65/R14 tyres.

I am now confused with lots of new terms....
If I go by brochure,
1. tyre is tubeless with dimension 165/80 R13 and
2. the Wheels: 5.0J X 13

Kanni according to your brochure,
1)
165 stands for the width of the tyre in millimeters (mm)
80 stands for your side wall profile
R is your Rim?
13 is the innermost diameter of your tyre in inches.

2) 5.0j is 5 inch width of your rim
13 is the diameter of your rim in inches measured from the center to the outermost circumference of your rim.

Hope that helps.

kanni what we are recommending you is a tyre and rim upsize. If you go for R13 alloys then you can use the stock tyres but If you go for R14 then you have to upgrade your tyres as well. Frankly speaking R13 rims look really small on the stile as they have increased the height of the car.

Kanni: Please do share FE figures for your Stile 1.1 with everyone on this forum. You probably will be the first T-BHPian owner of Stile.

the only problem you are gonna face is PCD which is almost not available on most of the brands here, this is what i ve seen while i was looking for aloys for my palio.dont get any PCD exept original pcd of fiat (98).you can easily go for 14r but your FE will drop by 1 or 2 but since new palio has a good FE i suggest you to go for 14r as you will enjoy driving.

Kanni, Stile 1.1 tyre size is 13", so please stick with 13".

If you go for a 14" tyres, your Odo has to be recalibrated which is not a easy thing to do!

And as others have rightly pointed out, the Alloys for Palio should be 98PCD. Don't compromise on that front.
Aura is the OEM supplier for Fiat India, so you should get 98PCD alloys from Aura!

You dont have to recalibrate your odo if you maintain the same running diameter.

Fiat OE alloys are made in Brazil ( It says so on the alloys. Well atleast in mine it does )

Try and get some used OE fiat alloys if you want something real cheap. Aura designs dont look all that great IMO. Check HR. Hydrashok has a great design in 15" 98 PCD for his 1.2

Dont compromise on the PCD at any cost.

Harrie, I double checked that, you need to recalibrate your Odo if you change over to 14" tyres.

KAnni..I did replace the stock rims with the alloys 13" from AURA ,the OEM supplier for FIAT.That looks good .But I think a 14" may look better if you can get 98PCd .
