Also I am going to Nawab with teh existing deal of 20K discount+ mud flaps+ foot mats and will try to get more from him. stearling has agreed for this deal.
Sure bruty, i will have to watch out for my wallet, after delievery i have set priority for accessories...a sound system or tire upgrade.

By the way, i have seen both apollo & bridgestone on safari, apollo looks more good & harder, bridgestones are looking softer as if they will burn out faster.

my dad is pushing me to change to tubeless michelling first & then look for other things.no alloys immediately for me, as stock wheels looks ok.

Arun
As far as know, Bridgstone are better than Appllo. I know Apollo look is better than Bridgestone, but performance and durability wise Bridgestone are better and they will not wear out soon.
I am expecting exoerts to guide us.

Hey Noidaboy, i am going their tomorroe and if nothing works then ofcourse as suggeted by you the karol Bag is the place to be.

Tyre Shoppe in sec 5 is also a good idea, but Noida sec 16 has more options and chance of discounts is more.
So check out best prices from both places.
As for Apollo vs Bridgestone, both have their strengths and weaknesses. Just because one is an Indian brand it should be discounted. Have been using the Acelere's for some time now and am happy with them. I used to have potenza GIII earlier.
For a SUV a hard tyre is best, esp if you plan to go to places where you have sharp stones etc.,
As for Karol bagh, if you stay in noida, you will save little money which will be spent on fuel to that place. Of course if you stay in Delhi then its a good option.

I bought a set of Michelin Synchrones for my Dicor recently and am a more than satisfied customer. Go for it - a bit expensive but worth it.

Nope you need a tyre with strong sidewalls that will allow a bit of flex while offroading.

Bruty - If you need any genuine advice about tyres for your truck including exchange prices for your stocks, you can get in touch with Mr. Anoop at The Tyre Plaza, Lajpat Nagar. Ph: 29810203.

You can give him my reference (say you're a friend of Ishan's) and he should be able to help you.

Sorry I can't give you any specific prices off-hand since I'm out of town.

The official Tyre dealer of Team-BHP is on a holiday in some holed up place. So, just wait for him to be back.

There're chances of him coming in and taking a peep here.

Bought a pair of 4 alloys and 5 tyres tyres for a friends safari and returned the tyres for 27000 Bucks from Karol bagh, tyres opted for were Maxxis 275 width as no other tyres like goodyear wrangler or pirelli scorpion were available in 275 with. The Maxxis tyres are directional as they have V tread. Also the dealer was offering safari OEM alloys brand new used for 10-15kms for just 12000bucks.

How much were just 5 tires for?
What discount was given in lieu of old tires?

Anshuman the problem with OEM alloys is their width, they cant support more than 235mm.

I thought you were still running on hankook dynamics ...Did they wear off so soon ?

However, I have completed 12k now along with OEM bridgestones and am pretty happy with its grip till date
