hi guys,

i got swift vdi and upsized to 195/65/14 after using tyre calcuator. I'm using yokohama tyres A-Drive.

BUt i find the ride to not so great. i find it slightly stiff as compared to stock tyres. i beileve stock on swift ddis is 165/80/14

Did anyone experience stiff ride with A-Drives ?

What are my other options at 195/65/14 which would give a softer ride ?

Thanks.

you should go for 70 profile. Slight speedo error, but ride will be better. 185/70 R14 would have been perfect.

I want to stay at 195 because it just very slightly comes out from the side and that gives the car along with the alloys a sporty look and appeal. I find the even the 185 on the Petrol Zxi looks quite puny and weak.

could you suggest me options at 195/65/14 which would give me a softer ride ?

hey just got the new c drives 185/60/14 for my ohc...the tyres have actually transformed the character of my car. Just was on the pune expressway and touched almost 180km/h...177 i think was distracted buy a slow car in front.Absolutely stable at those speeds, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
pros-very good comfort & ride, good grip & cornering at high speeds, amazing stability at high speeds with good braking too.also good looks.

Rana Kriti, go for Michelin XM1+. The new bridgestones are not here yet. Tell us how the Gxi copes with the 195s.

Wild is confused. He thinks you have an NHC. Anyway, XM1+ doesnt come in 195/65 R14.

Your best option is the Yoko A drive.

@ Rana

I am using the swift's ugly sibling (yeah, you got it right, the Dzire). Running on 185/70 R14 Yokohama A-drives. The tyres are awesome. You can go for it. Or else there is XM1+

Nikhilb2008 I have a Indigo marina. I had bought two acclere's 185/60 R14 which are in front at the moment, done just 3000km on them. Would it be wise to buy two yokohama's A-drive's to replace the other two goodyears on the vehicle? If yes then whats the approx price. I think original size is 175/65 R14
thanks in advance

I would suggest you get the same Aceleres. It's better to have the same tyre on all 4 corners of the car.

Nikhilb2008 thanks for the advice. I got a set of 4 A-drives fitted on a magnum diesel on saturday. I found them quite nice compared to the Goodyears. I guess I will stick to Aceleres for the indigo though, nto too bad either. Guess anythig is better that the wobble that goodyears come with half way into their life
regards

Are yoko's available for Wagon R.

If yes, how much would they cost per tire.
I have steel rims. Do we get tube types tires from Yoko.
If no can I use a tube less tire with a tube inside it.

My existing 6 year old tubes have never had a flat.
Can I reuse them with my new tires.

Thanks,

Why would you want to use a tubeless tyre with a tube???
