| I cannot believe its so casual here.... My cousin picks up this new verna from advaith (dealer in bangalore), then goes for hyundai approved alloys installed at the showroom.. The wheel's centers are so thick the nuts are holding by just by about 4 threads... These are the pics of the install ![]() ![]() ![]() Showroom's answer was that its okay, its company approved . Stock wheel spanner would'nt fit into this wheel either.Just imagine consequences of driving hard..... Last edited by rdkarthik : 11th July 2007 at 21:25. |

| BHPian | I won't be surprised if those wheels pop out on hard cornering or something ... here's a video of what happened to an RX-7 with after market alloys. When Drifting Goes Bad*Video Just for your info this was not during drifting the title is wrong. It was during an SCCA Auto-Cross event. Can you believe all four of his wheels snapped off. Almost like a sabotage. But I guess it could be just 4 threads ?!?

| Doesn't sound like Hyundai approved. More like dealer approved. Dealers are only like overpriced accessory stores. If the OEM alloys that come with the Verna also have the same issue, then it's a problem.

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | those are just standard league alloys nothing like hyundai approved alloys. It is the dealers mistake and he should sort it out for you. If he doesnt then just escalate the matter.

| Yup.... clearly a dealer stunt... I dont think Hyundai "recommends" ANY alloy other than the ones that come OE with the car. I have seen a lot of dealers give you third party stuff with the claim that "the warranty will be intact" if done through them. The terms of the warranty are very specific about this - dont think we can pin this on the company at all.

| Senior - BHPian | REPORT this matter to the company asap with proof of purchase & photos - do not take this lightlyHere in Delhi / Gurgaon - the dealers normally only sell AURA Alloys as "approved by company" Cheers
